Hoe yer good
Or hope, I’m over due for a new keyboard.
I’m familiar with that range. I’ll check their ASI club out.
The problem is with the laws that don't allow civilians to do what is necessary.
LEO's and civilians need to be held to the same standards.
No excuses just because they are wearing a uniform.
Any cop who shoots someone without justification ought to be jailed same as anyone else and forfeit all pension and benefits and anything else that came with the job, including any opportunity to serve in that field again.
But people who defend LEO's who are unjustly framed as not jackboot lickers.
Really?
There were, and are, PLENTY here, and on other conservative sites who are quite OK with shooting kids.
just type ‘Tamir Rice’ into the search box here.
Or ‘Andy Lopez’.
Probably the BEST scene in the whole series...and I loved the series.
In Florida assault or battery on a person 65 yoa or older is a forcible felony. That means almost any overt threat to do me harm with the apparent ability to do so can be met with deadly force. That would include your dog.
I really liked Justified. Great show. Not sure of Timothy Olyphant’s politics, and I do not care to know.
You would be in SEVERE danger from my dog.
She’d lick you to death before you could draw :-)
I found this in an old thread, posted by a now unknown Freeper and repost it occasionally when it fits a topic.
The Center Mass Myth and Ending a Gunfight
http://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/the-center-mass-myth-and-ending-a-gunfight-triggernometry/
Lots of people stay in the fight after center mass hits, and some even win it... One, two or even several well placed center mass shots may not do what you think it will...
The author,Jim Higginbotham, who has had decades of LEO experience makes the case that even in the case of lethal hits, the perp has enough time to fire back, and in many cases kill people who were waiting to see the effect of their initial hits on target.
As a civilian, I found this article to be a real eye opener, and while it may be old news to those of you in law enforcement or the military (thank you all for your service), I hope you will take the time to read this article. God forbid any of us should get into a gunfight, but this article could be a lifesaver someday.
If the bad guys get within 21 feet you are doing it wrong.
I try to stay 21 feet away from Everybody.
I shot about a 350 pound feral hog the other night that was a lot closer than that. About 10 feet when it finally dropped. It was charging and I hit it twice with a 223 round but not a kill shot. Third one was on target. I'm too old to run... and all I had was the gun and a green light flashlight. I sat down for a few minutes after that.... :)
Soo.... fresh baked cookies in one hand and a 45 caliber in the other when people come to visit?
:)
Yeah I had the old duckbill choke and turning the gun so the pattern was vertical would clear a doorway or hallway quite nicely...... I want the new “Paradigm Gator” choke for my old Benelli M1 or maybe a new M4.......with the patterns shown you could almost aim it with a compass ...... Stay Safe !
