General Counsel for the House Committee responding to Fusion GPS
Politicial Short ^ | Oct. 24, 2017 | Mark Stewart

Posted on 10/24/2017 9:16:26 AM PDT by HarleyLady27

Mark Stewart is General Counsel for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intel. Fusion GPS is seeking to quash a subpoena for their bank records. FBI is stonewalling Congress for answers – to the Committee which has oversight authority over the FBI. Mark Stewart files a sworn affadavit in response to Fusion’s effort, on behalf of House Committee. Stewart claims, in his affadavit, among other things, Richard Steele, of Trump Dossier fame, was an employee of the FBI, since at least 2010. WHAT??????????

Are you kidding me? Question #1. That would mean Richard Steele was an employee of Mueller’s FBI. Question #2. Was Richard Steele employed by FBI and Fusion GPS at the same time? Question #3. Obvious – Did anyone in the FBI help, on book or off book, Richard Steele to accumulate info or write the Trump Dossier? OMG. Are we really at a point where we are considering whether or not the FBI helped to do opposition research on a candidate for the US Presidency?

Sole foundation for the Russia collusion story was based on the Crowdstrike Report (where Crowdstrike had to retract major principles as unfounded) and the Trump Dossier, which we know is fake. These two formed the basis for the findings/agreement of the 17 intel agencies.

What the heck is going on in our government? Read the affadavit. It’s a barn-burner. No way can Fusion quash this subpoena.

Who is investigating the rogue FBI??? Certainly not Silent Jeff Sessions. He should be much more concerned over what has happened since the Democrat party has taken control of our intel agencies, rather than worrying about MS-13. Our republic is in definite danger from the former.

I’m afraid that Sessions is afraid of some thing or some one. The question is “WHY is he afraid”? Hope I’m wrong.

Question asked and answered. It really is an OMG moment. Why else is Fusion GPS so reluctant to release the name of who paid for the document. They know a house of cards will collapse.

If true, this is absolutely amazing.

A sitting president unleashes the power of the government to damage an opposition party candidate.

We have become Venezuela.

The Founding fathers would be shooting by now.

Agree with your sentiment.

Side note: it doesn't appear GC in his Declaration specifies Steele was an FBI employee but rather a mere informant to FBI and a subcontractor to Fusion.

Worse than Watergate. And that should scare the bejeezus out of the Dems, considering how sanctimonious they were during Watergate.

Steele supposedly at one time had been a BSS (MI5) or a SIS employee.

From the document...

8. The Committee also learned from media reporting that at least three of the individuals who attended a meeting with Donald Trump, Jr., at Trump Tower on June 9, 2016 oviet counterintelligence officer Rinat Akhmetshin, Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, and Russian-born interpreter Anatoly Samochornov lso have ties to Fusion GPS dating to at least 2015. The Committee seeks to investigate the extent of these ties and their potential relationship to the Russian active measures campaign, and the financial records requested in the subpoena will directly assist in that effort. Fusion GPS has also reportedly been involved in lobbying against the Global Magnitsky Act, and has been accused of working on behalf of the Russian Government in an effort to fight U.S. sanctions. Additionally, Fusion GPS has allegedly provided litigation support to Russian holding group Prevezonin a Magnitsky-related money-laundering case...

So Fusion GPS seems to have agents everywhere. They begin to look like a CIA front-group.

it reads that Steele working for the FBI was public knowledge. (when ?)
I would also ask what else Steele worked on since 2010...and that question could be a reason to quash.
#9 in the declaration lists Steele as an FBI informant.

Steele was supposed to get 50 grand from the FBI if the dossier was corroborated. The FBI never paid.

I wonder why we aren’t more attuned to the existing\twin lawsuits in Britain (and the U.S.) by Aleksej Gubarev, which shows McCain with a bigger footprint than he’s telling us.

"I’m afraid that Sessions is afraid of some thing or some one. The question is “WHY is he afraid”? Hope I’m wrong."

Or he is part of the swamp and will not do anything that will lead to the Clintons, Mueller, Comey or anyone else that would expose the degree of corruption by the uniparty.
