I really like the size and features of the XDs, but with my large hands, I found that I could only get my thumb and first two fingers on the grip. Controllability was close to impossible.

My EDC is the Springfield XDs .45 in an Alien Gear IWB holster. Love that little pistol. There is a 7 round mag available.

Sweet shooter.

My primary light-clothing carry is Glock 42 and heavy-clothing carry is Sig Sauer P320SC. Using L.A.G. holsters for both.

Just my opinion, can’t beat the plow handle on an original Colt SAA.

Bersa Thunder .380

I have a Thunder 380CC. The difference is it has very low profile front sights. A Walther copy of course is the 380.

Kahr PM9 pocket carry for me. It may be more expensive @ $750, but when it comes to concealed EDC and having a good weapon when your life is on the line, I don’t think “affordability” is a serious prerequisite.

The highest prices of those guns listed are around $550. Spending up to $1000 for the right EDC is not unreasonable for me, especially considering that average ball/training ammo runs $15 per box (9mm through .45), and I run through $200-$300 of ammo in one weekend of shooting. JM2C

I have my service weapon from my days as a LEO (Glock 9mm) and a S&W M&P .380 with an integrated laser sight.

I believe a GLOCK 26 is subcompact and a GLOCK 19 is a compact. I carried a 26 for years but, having lost weight, started carrying the 19 +1 w/ 2 spare mags.

I'll speak up for the Taurus PT709 9mm.

7+1, 19 oz, 4.5" high, 1.0" wide, 6" long.

Small, light, solidly made, forever warranty, happily devours whatever ammo you feed it.

Good gun.

Ruger LCRx .38 Special stings to shoot. If you want this gun, get the 357 version and load it with .38s.
