People like me have been explaining for many years that California is an example of leftist policies to avoid, and the poster child state of what not to do unless state suicide is the goal. California has become the Greece of the United States, and is cracking up. But this crack-up isn’t funny, as I cover in my new book co-authored with Jim Lacy, ”California’s War Against Donald Trump: Who Wins? Who Loses?”
Despite the dire circumstances, the ravenous left in California continues at breakneck speed to implement so many detrimental, dangerous laws and policies, that Jack, the amoral leader in “Lord of the Flies,” would blush. Stranded on an island, this group of schoolboys degenerate into savagery. It sounds like California, doesn’t it?
The more failure there is, the more contented seem the Californians.
There are pockets like the Bay Area carry the whole state employment. Property values are artificially high because of green space requirements, the cost of permits for new construction, and the property tax laws locking up housing with the same owners for decades. Population growth is only coming from foreign immigrants while US born persons are moving out, with net growth anemic. If the industry they are in doesn’t require a large pool of tech savvy engineering talent then businesses are likely to move out to cheaper environments.
I personally would love to live in California again but I have a family to support and the cost of living, the anti-child attitudes, and the crazy laws mean ever going back is a fools dream. I would say I miss people there but more and more of my friends have left as well. Sorry to abandon the state to the crazies but they hit a critical mass and there is nothing to do but get out.

Live where the dems,libs or celebs live..They make sure their area is safe,very few minority groups and section 8 housing is non existent....Even Maxine Waters lives away from her constituents.....

You are under the impression that ca’s low unemployment and property values are forever. Ask a californian from 2007 and they will just laugh. The next downturn — which is as certain as death and taxes — will finish off ca.
All conservatives and Republicans in California should give up and move to another state. Things will only get worse.
Politically and actually, California is burning to the ground.
My cousin had a business in Truckee, California. He made the guts for slots machines. The business was very successful. When he wanted to expand his business and build additional manufacturing facilities it became a nightmare for him to get approval and permission.
He said the hell with it. He moved his business to Nevada. He took his essential personnel. Nevada did everything they could to make his business welcome. A lot of Californians lost their jobs and a lot of Nevadans got jobs.
She's probably ensconced up in Ladera Heights where the "affirmative action" folks live.
California: Devastation, Plunder, Economic Failure, Venezuela ... decent into madness.
don’t worry the recent “climate change” (as if they are going to stop it) legislation has a 63 cents a gallon new tax on gas.
Buy high, sell low.
I can think of many other better places to park money........
