President Trump seems to be expressing a thought held by many employers.
If these players are not helping the team move forward and fill-the-seats, then move-on.
Seems these spoiled millionaires don’t realize it’s not their ability to play but their ability to fill the stadium seats that earns their pay. Any business owner knows that if you have an employee who is going to alienate 50 percent of your customer base, that employee has to go. If the NFL can’t or won’t see that, oh well! Reminds me of Natalie Maines and the Dixie Chicks in the lead-up to Gulf II. Dixie Chicks? Who are they?

Agree. Respect the flag and the people who are paying your salaries, or go fend for yourselves. I look forward to seeing some of these players, after they have spent the massive amount of money they received, with no income in the future.
This disrespect is spreading to even the Children's Football Leagues. There is a team in Illinois where the coach encouraged all of the 8 year old and younger to not stand when the National Anthem was played and the Flag shown was without stars.

Well, I disagree. While I certainly don’t like people disrespecting the flag, they have a Constitutional right to do so. I don’t think the owners can fire them per se, but I guess they could direct the coach not to play them, but only so many players are allowed on each team. The owners can choose not to renew their contracts, which is what I would do.
Plus, other people have Constitutional rights as well. I don’t have to go to an NFL game, and I don’t. I don’t have to watch the NFL on TV, and I don’t. Many others are doing the same thing and I believe ticket sales and TV revenue for the NFL is down, way down. Good.
