President Donald Trump has waded into the fray over NFL players sitting out the national anthem and disrespecting the American flag. During a rally for Luther Strange in Huntsville, Trump began talking football with the cheering crowd. And although critics may argue that what an NFL player chooses to do is his right under the First Amendment, there is a much bigger picture that needs to be examined.
At the rally, Trump said that the people who disrespect the flag should be thrown out of the stadium and be kicked off the teams:
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when someone disrespects our flag to say, `Get that son of a bitch off the field right now! Out. He’s fired! He’s fired!“

President Trump seems to be expressing a thought held by many employers.
If these players are not helping the team move forward and fill-the-seats, then move-on.
Seems these spoiled millionaires don’t realize it’s not their ability to play but their ability to fill the stadium seats that earns their pay. Any business owner knows that if you have an employee who is going to alienate 50 percent of your customer base, that employee has to go. If the NFL can’t or won’t see that, oh well! Reminds me of Natalie Maines and the Dixie Chicks in the lead-up to Gulf II. Dixie Chicks? Who are they?

Agree. Respect the flag and the people who are paying your salaries, or go fend for yourselves. I look forward to seeing some of these players, after they have spent the massive amount of money they received, with no income in the future.
Members of our families served and died for the country.
When people in entertainment and sports show disrespect, we can not support them. The media continues to support those individuals who lack basic values and an understanding of right and wrong.
This disrespect is spreading to even the Children's Football Leagues. There is a team in Illinois where the coach encouraged all of the 8 year old and younger to not stand when the National Anthem was played and the Flag shown was without stars.

This is what I love about president Trump. He may be a pompous ass like Rush Limbaugh, but they both say what millions of Americans think but don’t want to say because of the crap that will come their way. Keep being the voice of the silent majority!

I think that our President saw the stories about little kids being coached to ‘take a knee’…and he thought to himself:
“This has gone one too long!”
So he felt he needed to speak out about it.
