Is this stalking killer clown for real, or is this a hoax? Or just another copy cat using the new Stephen King remake of It movie to craft a publicity stunt.
Facebooker Draven Riffe swears this knife-wielding clown was quite real. Afterwards, Draven was so shaken by the encounter that he waited in his treestand for two hours for law enforcement to escort him out safely.
Imagine this scene. You are up in your treestand with your bow ready for your big buck to come by. Instead of a buck, it is a madman dressed like a clown, armed with a big butcher knife. He stands silently under your treestand, looking up at you menacingly while holding the gleaming steel knife ready for use against you.
Well, that is exactly what Draven Riffe says he caught on video in Charleston, West Virginia.
What would you do in this situation? While we are split on whether this footage is real or, as some skeptics think, fake, the killer clown epidemic is indeed going to cause harm to both clown and victims.
If you are a killer clown pranker, better think again as an arrow or Mr. 308 may be in your future if you pick on the wrong hunter or concealed-carrying citizen. What would you do? See the killer clown or hoax video here.
My thought exactly. This guy has the ‘upper ground’ if you will and he’s armed with a projectile weapon, and he’s so shaken by a moron with a knife? The police should have confiscated his bow and his man-card when they escorted him out.
I’d have told the cops to bring the coroner.

That's easy..Take a leak..."oh, sorry ol' chap.. didn't notice you. My bad"
The same thing I would do if anyone pulled a knife on me... "Choot'em"
Bingo Robin Hood! What was he waiting for, clown season?
"The clown is my friend.
A clown will not bite me or put me in the basement.
A clown is not..."
:Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!:
"... A threat any longer."
Sorry Dr Scratchansniff. I really don't like clowns with knives.
I hate all this clown crap from the movie It.
I spent the weekend at daughter’s watching grandkids. They also have a foreign exchange student from Sweden living there this year. So Saturday night the girls and a friend tell me they want to watch the new It. I Plug my ipad into the tv with it running, tell them the first one was stupid, and went to bed. Next morning I said....you guys didn’t finish watching the movie? They said no, it was stupid, we fell asleep. lol
Absolutely the best answer.
I’m with you. “Ability, opportunity, jeopardy” - of course, if he started to climb the tree stand, that’s the last thing he’d do.
The difficulty is the, shall we say, “Kim Jong Un” problem: what to do with some psychotic who has the ability to kill (spectacularly), opportunity (just a few seconds from delivering a lethal blow), but isn’t _quite_ across the line per jeopardy (isn’t climbing the tree stand, is sufficiently outside the 21 foot distance, etc) - he’s screwing with your mind just to screw with your mind, making you nervously evaluate where the line is and whether he’s crossed it justifying lethal force in response, with you both knowing he’s really not going to go there, except that he’s clearly deranged enough that he might.
My prime concern is that he’s going to great lengths to make the threat, is clearly deranged enough to follow through on it, and at some point you’re going to have to leave the area - at which point you’re more vulnerable, and probably don’t know where he is, subject to attack. ...but you don’t know.
SSS?
Arrow meet clown. :-)
The problem is you have to leave the area at some point, and some psycho just expressed an interest in killing you. It’s the old “what good is a handgun vs a tank? the driver has to get out some time.”
I now better understand why natives were so quick to kill in frontier days.
If you eat a clown does he taste funny?
were you in fear for your life, is the only question that needs an answer. This guy clearly had justification for the use of deadly force. I will assume it was staged.
Tie the carcass to the hood of the car and add some fake antlers....
Use the bow. It’s quieter less likely to scare the deer away.
Send a message in the dirt right between his legs.
And less likely to attract walkers.
To believe this video was real, you have to believe the guy in the clown suit was legitimately a psycho. Clown guy went on (apparently) private property, in the woods, in the daylight, dressed as a clown, with a knife. He walked up to an armed man in a hunting stand with a bow and arrow, and calmly flashed a knife at him. A normal person playing a joke or trying to scare someone wouldn’t go to this extreme because of the personal danger to himself. I think it was probably staged.
1st, bow season doesn't start here in WV till Sept. 30. The cops should have arrested the bowman for illegal hunting.
2nd, it's been in the 80’s during the day. Have you ever dressed out a clown in hot weather? Pew, I have but that's another story...
Finally, that clown couldn’t scare a baby... I'll take you to some local Walmarts and show you creatures that will put the fright into your sneakers.
Why am I in a tree stand again?
