I grew-up in a part of Texas where sheep and goat meat was pretty common.

I suspect she knows a lot more about the recipe than the pledge of allegiance. Also consider for a second how long an American news outlet would last if it ran articles on how American women create the “favorite meal for their husbands” which come as natural as the pledge of allegiance.

Immigrants like the Shahs may be saving America's sheep industry, say farmers and industry officials.

That's nice - as long as they're here legally. Propping up America's sheep industry does not justify the flouting of US immigration laws, US borders or US sovereignty.

Crazy-assed Jihadis notwithstanding, a good lamb dish is underappreciated in the US.

The loin chops are unsurpassed. Fattier than pork, and sweeter...with just a hint of grass and game.

Make them too salty, and burnt on the outside.

Rare.

Know what eim talkin’ about?

I sure wish I liked goats better. Smelly, vile critters that I used to tend to on my Aunt’s farm. Cannot abide goat milk or cheese. Something in my psyche and gut just screams, “NO!” LOL!

Not too bad in a gyro though, as long as I don’t have to cook it! ;)

I love lamb! It's just gotten so expensive in the United States.

They know how to cook it over in the Middle East. Typical pub fare while knocking back beers in a hotel bar was a plate of grilled lamb chops and french fries, with a cucumber salad on the side. Good stuff!
