All apologies to the hard-working street-walkers and penthouse prostitutes who, unlike the modern-media harlots and rent-boys, have no illusions and offer no excuses about what they do and why.
For well over 75 years, Americans have naively trusted that the people who bring them the news every nightand today, 24/7are highly informed, deeply sincere, remarkably unbiased public servants.
After all, why would anyone go into a notoriously low-paying profession if he or she was not at heart an idealist?
Motives, of course, vary. Some are attracted to the profession because they are news junkies and want to be where the political action is. Others seek the limelight because the narcissist in them likes to be on camera. Then there are those who genuinely believe that their exposés and hard-hitting reporting can make a helpful difference in peoples lives. Finally we have aspirants with money signs in their eyes, hoping that they will be among the few who actually rake in the big bucks.
Blog Pimps.
You.
But, I repeat myself.
Excellent article. Thanks for posting.
Call them what they are, The Ministry of Propaganda
I've given up hope that our "side" of the media, i.e., Talk Radio, or our "side" of the political spectrum, i.e., The Republican Party, will focus on this fact instead of repeatedly chasing the squirrel The Fake News Media looses upon the public, but I hold out hope that President Trump will "go there" one of these days.
They got money from people who worked at Soros Fund Management, not from Soros or directly from his foundation or funds. They are people who were hired because of their financial expertise and their views may not be those of George Soros who's given over $10 million to Democrats and $1000 to Republicans (McCain 2000), so far as I've been able to find out.
Presstitutes and Whorenalists.
What’s the difference between a prostitute and a Democrat? One stops screwing you after you’ve run out of money.
I’ve often heard that so many in the media are liberal, because they want to work for change, they want to “fix” society. Their worldview is that our society and culture are full of problems, which need “fixing”, and that they can contribute by being “reporters” or cheerleaders for liberal causes.
I recall a survey some years back, which showed that 89% of media members voted for John Kerry. In an election which Bush won by 51-49%, clearly seeing an 89-11% split in the media showed that the media are not any sort of cross section of society.
On a related note, not too many conservative people think of themselves as wanting to be crusaders for the cause and all that entails, so then relatively fewer conservatives tend to go to J school and become reporters.
BTW, I checked both the URL and who is (https://www.whois.com/whois/canadafreepress.com) and it is not a blog, but a web site.
Some freepers somehow don't know the difference.
Some of us want to read something besides articles from the MSM criticizing the president.
