Thanks for the nice thoughts regarding my safety.

I've been getting Email, telephone calls and FRmail from people asking "Are you planning to evacuate because of the crisis?"

Well, no, actually, I'm not. North Korea has made these threats towards Guam before. They made the same threats at least twice when Mr Obama was President. Even if they carry out the threats it is doubtful they have the missile technology to actually land a warhead within 100 miles this 11 mile wide by 38 mile long little island. If a missile does get close then Guam is protected by batteries of THAAD anti-ballistic-missile missiles.

If the situation starts getting really bad I'll bug-out to our flat in Hong Kong.

Thank you for the concern and prayers. It is appreciated.

I am planning to mow my grass tomorrow. That way if the North Koreans do show up the yard looks nice.

THAAD has shot down 14 of 14 intermediate ICBM’s that it has been tested on.

“THAAD does not work against ICBM....because of the speed”

I wonder if the US has any Aegis cruisers in the area. The SM-2 missile is designed for midcourse interception of ICBMs and other orbital velocity objects like satellites.

Hey, they may miss Guam but the huge tidal wave may capsize the island, you know.

Mowing the grass is a great idea. If you are mowing after the flash out in the ocean, keep a sharp lookout over your shoulder.

Make sure you only mow from west to east to avoid looking into the flash.

Slapstick. Great book. One of my favorites.
