All of that having been said, the timing of his Mika/Joe tweets couldn’t have been worse, and amounts to a real unforced error. When we all got up yesterday morning, Trump had CNN and its CEO Jeff Zucker on the ropes. As I pointed out in yesterday’s Campaign Update, CNN was in the horrible position of actually being The Story. The fake news network’s fraudulent behavior and Zucker’s feckless leadership was on everyone’s mind, and pretty much all anyone was talking about. Add to that the fact that the President’s travel ban would go into effect later in the day, and the House was about to pass both the Sanctuary Cities bill and Kate’s Law, and the Trump Administration was destined to have a very successful day.
Instead, the President steps on his own message at 8:50 a.m., and the rest of the day turns into a media frenzy about tweets. Not good. Not smart. Or, as the President himself might include in one of his 140 character tweets: Sad!
I have no problem with Mr. Trump counter-punching those two clowns. Their show is nothing more than 3 hours of unending character assassination and dehumanization of a sitting POTUS, 3 solid hours of assassination dog-whistling, 5 days a week. So hey, they deserve a little pushback.
But damn, do it at the right time. If you want to tweet-storm these clowns, pick a slow news day during congress’s August recess, not a day when CNN is in full meltdown mode.

It’s easy to say that but i think the time was carefully selected. It was wedged very specifically between to two serious policy tweets. Not a coincidence on timing and not a random 3am thought.

What people dont get is that Trump smacks them, and that makes the press rabid.
Rabid = less thought, more emotion.
More emotion = will more likely do something reckless down the road when this story is old and moldy. Like publishing a story in haste because it is negative towards Trump, only to find out it is totally bogus. That recklessness will be seen as part of the “out of control press” image that most Americans have.
When people see press retards on TV ranting and raving, it only cements the thought that Trump was right.

Trump got the media off their message(s) once again. If the alternative was to allow the media to focus on issues and give fair coverage to important stories, then the tweet would be a mistake. But that’s not the alternative no matter how many times the media asserts it is.
I see trump as a compassionate person who, once having someone on the ropes, will back off from throwing the knockout blow. Look what he has (or has NOT) done with Hitlary the mafia queen, he beat her handily and has since backed off from going for the ‘kill”, so to speak. Certainly he has the power to insist she be prosecuted for her MASSIVE crime spree(s) but alas, he has backed off, hopefully for now. Perhaps we MAY see things different as things settle down politically.
The problem is us ‘little guys’ simply cannot get inside his brain. He’s an absolute genius - he had a reason to throw the media some red meat to chase. I don’t know the reason, but there certainly is one.
It’s not happenstance this was released this morning after his tweets. Looks as if President Trump was ahead of the game.

....and as this happened, the House was passing Kate’s Law. I really wish he would tone it down, but this is working. The press focuses on something stupid like this and misses the big stuff. Illegal immigration down 5O%, Kate’s Law, House Obamacare Repeal, Obama regulations trashed Daily...the agenda for the country is happening, but the press worries about Mika and Joe. Shallow minds.

They hold up a picture of Trump’s cut off head, blood and all. Robert De Niro wants to slap him around. Joe Biden says he wants to take him out by the shed. They mock his hair, the size of his hands and all that implies, and for goodness sakes, one comedian says she’s even going after his 11 year old son.
For the last 30 or 40 years, the LEFT has spewed it’s vitriol, it’s venom, it’s hate, it’s personal attacks on conservatives and conservative values, demonizing conservatives is what they do best. There have been no limits to what college professors, hollywood, and yes the news media will do to conservatives and especially to Trump. CNN had to fire a reporter just a few weeks ago because his attack on Trump was so below the belt, so disgusting.
George Bush was called everything from a monkey to a retard, he was mocked, attacked, demonized as was Reagan, Romney, McCain, ...........Ann Coulter needs a bodyguard when she speaks in public.
For months now, Joe and Mika have attacked, vilified, and demonized Trump in every way possible.
And for all this........I’m supposed to be angry because Trump made a crack about Mika’s fake face.
Yeah........right.
The problem for the LEFT is that they are dealing with a new kind of conservative. A New York guy who has the onions fo fight back. And it’s enraging them. They are beyond angry....they are like a swarm of mad rabid dogs. They can’t deal with it. They have never encountered anything like this before and can’t handle it.
God knows George Bush never did anything to fight back, or the weak Romney or McCain.
