Red Tide: noun
1. a discoloration of seawater caused by a bloom (large concentrations of aquatic microorganisms) of toxic red dinoflagellates. It is caused by microscopic algae that produce toxins that kill fish and make shellfish dangerous to eat
2. a discoloration of facts caused by a bloom (large concentrations of media microorganisms) of toxic anti-red state journalists. It is caused by microbial scum that produce toxic fake news red alerts about Russian hacking in hopes of killing Trumps presidency and making Republicans dangerous to elect.
By daylight you can see this scourge for what it actually is: a floating sea of toxic waste:
Creeping red tide. Euuu!
When viewed as the media would have you see it however, it appears to be an enchanting fairytale concoction:
Known as red tide by day under cover of night it takes on the glow of contrivance
Just reflect back on the media coverage of our late, great FLOTUS and I think youll grasp the conceit.

Off the beaches of Marco Island, you can pick up multi-colored seashells. Be careful with the sand dollars as they are quite thin and fragile and break easily when mixed with the other shells. This time of year, thunderstorms and heavy showers are constantly moving in off the Gulf.
I spent a warm , bright and breezy afternoon at the beach by Patrick AFB, FL in December of 2007 and the red tide only made my eyes itch a little bit and also gave me a slightly scratchy throat. No big deal.
We just went through a spell with Red Tide here in Venice, Fl. that had everyone living within a mile of the beach sneezing, eyes itching and burning, throat swollen, and sinusitis. Not at all no big deal. You were fortunate. When it is bad it is very bad.
Don’t eat shell fish when it’s red tide
Yeah, I knew that then and was glad it wasn’t any worse than it was.
