A Moorhead, Minnesota man stands accused of beating, scalding, and blowing up firecrackers on his 2-month old daughter before rubbing cayenne pepper in her eyes and choking her till she turned blue.
Shawn Foltz, 31, was charged with neglect of a child, malicious punishment of a child and two counts of third-degree assault. All of those charges are felonies.
According to KFGO radio, Foltz told investigators that he would think of ways to harm the infant while he was at work.
According to Fox 4, he also said that he snapped his daughter with a towel in the face, scalded her with hot water in the face and tossed fireworks at her body.
He also hit her with a wooden spoon and a piece of vinyl flooring on the bottom for crying.

I note that MN is a no death penalty state. He will probably be Dahlmerized - killed by a lifer who will probably be thanked by prisoners and guards alike.

In no state would this be a death penalty case.
I’m saying that with no death penalty there are a lot of people in prison there with little to lose and cred to gain. The guy who killed Dahmer was a lifer with no parole. I wonder if they put him on trial.
May he never be allowed neat oxygen again.

Tell me please, what that “revulsion” will accomplish? Will those of us reading the article on FR somehow get the guy a longer prison term? Maybe you think it will prevent others from doing the same thing to THEIR daughters? Perhaps those “other guys” are thinking, “Gosh, people on Free Republic feel revulsion because of what Shawn Foltz did. I better change my plans for the insane and evil act I was going to commit against MY daughter”.
So, really aquila48, tell me EXACTLY what you think the “revulsion” will accomplish.
