It's official. The End Time are here. Guinness is now manufacturing wheat beer.
Board up your homes. The zombies will come knocking soon.
I sense the working of the Illuminati in all this.
First the Irish go all LGBT and now they're making the official beer of the LGBT.
Yeech.
If a guy gets drunk on wheat beer, does that make him a metroholic?
The horror...
Am I the only person on Earth that’s not into the Zombie thing in any way, shape or form? Never seen a zombie movie, television show or read a book on them. Could it be because they don’t really exist?
"I cannot live in a world this gay."
It is a great send-up of zombie movies and the whole zombie-hysteria.
Zombies are a proxy for any number of disturbing cultural developments, not the least of which would be everyone under the age of 30 if not 40 being so glued to their stupid smartphones and tablets that they’re walking into things, falling off of cliffs and such. Then there are the very strange drugs out there and the even stranger behaviors associated with them. View zombies as a cultural place marker, or even a political statement. Then you’ll see why they’re so unavoidable in pop culture.
How would you even know that song?
Yes, I know, lots of punk is vile, but there is an authenticity to it that cuts through all the crap in the music business, especially the Casey-Casem-Dick-Clark-Ryan-Seacrest-pushed pablum.
Yay, the zombies! One of the greatest pre-punk bands.
Guinness got bought up
wtf?
Were you around then?
I saw the Adolescents many times.
*waves hand*
*zombie denier here*
I did get to see The Circle Jerks, The Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Agent Orange, The Dickies, and many other punk bands live.
I grew up in LA, but would often go down to OC. There were some clubs in Fullerton that supported more obscure bands that I liked.
One night I decided to work my way through all the radio stations and discovered Rodney on the Rock. I still remember the first song I heard on KROQ: Cherry Bomb by the Runaways. Then I went and saw The Decline of Western Civilization with my best friend.
I was hooked.
For years you couldn't get it in the state, but a few years back they started importing it.
It doesn't taste the same though. It was going to be my favorite beer, but I think the corporates messed with the recipe or something.
And the corporates bought Negra Modelo.
I think one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse rides a Clydesdale.
KROQ just cancelled Rodney on the Rock, btw.
I saw those bands many times. My band often opened for some of them.
That was a long time ago.
Guinness in the US was ruined by pasteurization, bitter, not at all like the rich, creamy, grainy but almost chocolatey Guinness on tap in Ireland.
Zombies won’t exist until the cities run out of food.
