I saw the Adolescents many times.

I didn't get to see The Adolescents live, but I have a good friend who lived two doors down from Rikk and Frank Agnew.

I did get to see The Circle Jerks, The Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Agent Orange, The Dickies, and many other punk bands live.

I grew up in LA, but would often go down to OC. There were some clubs in Fullerton that supported more obscure bands that I liked.

One night I decided to work my way through all the radio stations and discovered Rodney on the Rock. I still remember the first song I heard on KROQ: Cherry Bomb by the Runaways. Then I went and saw The Decline of Western Civilization with my best friend.

I was hooked.
