I signed up in 1998 and posted a few minutes later, I have encouraged others to do so lately and all they are experiencing are roadblocks. What are the current rules for new sign -ups as for responding and posting? Thanks
To spong or respong - that is the question.
Thought you said you had to be at the gym in 30 minutes.
Yeah, but which one is the moderator?
Don't you think you're being unfair? I've known many Marines and most of them were reasonably intelligent.
What is her screen name?
I signed up about 3-4 months ago. My account is still in this approve-before-post mode. It seems to take significant time before it is approved. This basically killed my will to contribute to site. It’s like being at a party and trying fo participate in a conversation, but you need to submit every comment for review before you can speak it. I am not sure what led to this requirement. I have been on the Internet since the 1980s, and this is the first site that I ever joined that had rules like this. There are some that restrict access to certain boards, or that limit PMs or other features for new members. But none that I know of that moderate every post before it is posted.
So I just lurk and read other’s posts. This post is a rare exception, assuming anyone ever sees it.
I see it.:-)
.
New rule should be that newbies have to take out a 2nd mortgage on their house and family to afford the entry fee...
They have to be “logged in” to post.
Shhhhh >whispering< That’s a secret.
great image
I see it.:-)Yeah, that got approved fast! I guess it depends on how busy the site is. I would think it would be a tedious task to have to review all those posts.
Let’s do the Time Warp, again.
Those sidebar mods are the worst. Most of the time they’re too distracted horsing around with their luxury yachts rather than doing their jobs ;-)
You are probably out of your probationary period, I don’t remember mine lasting that long.
New rule should be that newbies have to take out a 2nd mortgage on their house and family to afford the entry fee...That seems like a bad idea. Like a retirement home that doesn't accept new residents, it eventually becomes a pretty quiet place.
You are probably out of your probationary period, I dont remember mine lasting that long.Nope, every one of my posts in this thread gave me the message about the post having to be reviewed.
