Miley Cyrus has made a strong statement against Italian fashion house, Dolce & Gabbana, and their politics. In an Instagram post on Saturday, the 24-year-old posted a photo of her younger brother, Braison, walking in his first ever runway show for Dolce & Gabbanas spring 2018 menswear collection that afternoon. After a long post of praise for the male member of the Cyrus clan, she adds a line about the brands much-buzzed about politics, noting that she is not one to support, no matter how happy she is that they chose Braison to represent them on the runway.
Alongside an image of Braison, Miley begins by writing, Congrats @braisoncyrus on walking in your 1st runway show its never been my little brothers dream to be a model as HE is one of the most talented musicians my ears have ever been given the gift of hearing BUT it is a Cyrus family trait to try everything once (within reason HA) and to embrace opportunities that encourage you to step out of your comfort zone!
Braison, at 23 years-old, walked the runway in a printed sweatsuit, complete with loose-fitting printed pants and a matching short-sleeved hoodie. On his feet were classic white lace-up sneakers and on his head was a crown because, why not?

Though Miley was sure to praise her brothers newest endeavor, she was careful not to align herself too closely with Dolce & Gabbana, as they have been widely criticized as of late for supporting the First Lady Melania Trump and dressing her on multiple occasions. After writing the sweetest words about Braison, Miley added, PS D&G, I STRONGLY disagree with your politics but I do support your companys effort to celebrate young artists & give them the platform to shine their light for all to see!
All things considered, the way in which Miley handled her criticism and subsequent acknowledgment of good efforts was quite democratic. However, The Daily Mail reports that designer Stefano Gabbana commented on her post, writing, Ignorant! and then adding a second comment that read, For your stupid comment never more work with [your brother]
Furthermore, the designer posted a photo on his own account, writing a statement in Italian that the publication translated as, We are Italian and we dont care about politics and mostly neither about the American one! [ ] We make dresses and if you think about doing politics with a post its simply ignorant. We dont need your posts or comments so next time please ignore us!! [ ] #boycottdolcegabbana.
The brand is no stranger to controversy, seemingly getting caught up in everything from political issues involving the First Family of the United States and hot-button issues such as gay parenting and IVF. This certainly isnt the end of the conversation with Miley, if their previous battles are any indication.
As if Miley is some type of fashion icon.
Who cares.
Teen Vogue, though, us definitely at the fore of hard left and liberal neo-soviet indoctrination.
It’s scary.
She’ll influence the all-important cokehead prostitute vote!
Does anyone really care what this twerking, bubble-headed narcissist thinks or says?
Braison to Miley: “Butt out of my modeling gig!”
Why is she raining on her brother’s parade?
Pfffffttttt! WFC?
Miley is such a stupid tramp. Obviously her big slutty mouth hurt her brothers job prospects.
Ugly selfish wench.
Yup. Who cares? Tabloid junkie.
After looking at brothers picture on the runway I am sure there is a position somewhere as a bag lady that is waiting for him to fill.
She’s quite demented like many Dems who will pick ANYTHING and make it political
D&G doesn’t really appear to have politics.
Scarlet Johansson, Monica Bellucci and even Madonna and Rihanna have had D&G endorsement deals. Some Italians like money and are minimally interested in American politics.
No matter how much $$$ she has..... She will always be white trash.
So she screwed her Brother’s chances of future work with D&G because she couldn’t shut her mouth about Trump.
What a great sister.
Why should I care what Miley Cyrus (or for that Matter, Lena Dunham or Scarlet Johanson or any of the other leftwing women “celebrities”) think today on some matter of minor importance?
I think Dolce &Gabbana site has been hacked...it has #boycott Dolce&Gabbana on it...I decided to go look at purses...never could find one
Thinking the same thing.
Sibling rivalry.
She opens her ugly mouth to say she disagrees with their politics
I vehemently disagree with your sluttish behavior of the naked wrecking ball video, which I haven’t seen, but some school kid with a phone showed it to
my innocent 8 year old granddaughter....Words cannot adequately express my opinion of you, and I dearly hope your 15 plus minutes in the spotlight are coming to an end
Miley hasn’t the class to pull off D&G, they are way beyond her. She should be dresses by Mos designers, I miss the laughs
