So you're the guy thats referred to as the armorer by all your friends because you have all the guns. But if all your friends ask you to take them shooting, would you? As you know this can be quite costly.
This video shared on Facebook by Themanspot shows what happens when we let friends shoot our guns. We go broke.
You'll feel the pain of this hysterical video. This is what can happen when your friend has friends in town that want to shoot your guns. Well you stand back and watch the dollar bills get blasted out of your guns. Ouch that just gotta hurt the wallet. See the video here.
I don’t have any friends that don’t know the cost of ammo.
My wife took our daughter (23) and daughter’s friend to nearby indoor gun range. None of them had shot a gun before. The range gave them a 0.22 handgun for practice and soold them ammo. All 3 of them had fun and lost unjustified fear of guns.
Friends and family - they like to hone their marksmanship vs. spraying lead for giggles.
My friend takes me shooting because he belongs to the club and has different interesting weapons.
BUT as common courtesy, just as if he invited me for dinner, or to a sporting event - I make sure he is not out-of-pocket financially. I buy more than enough ammo for him and myself.
I have for years, even the liberals who wanted to go, converted a few.
Same here. I don’t mind spotting for ammo if it’ll open their eyes. That’s reward enough.
Sure, once.
I’ve taken friends out shooting for their first time and as a general rule, they ended up buying their own guns and ammo afterwards.
If they don’t purchase guns and ammo, I don’t think they like shooting and don’t bother inviting them again.
Yeah, thank goodness we don’t have many of those spray and pray morons at our gun club. They would most likely injure more innocents than stop a bad guy.
I take friends shooting all the time but I tell them they will have to kick in on the ammo. Usually I just have them buy it from the range when we get there.
As a friend, If it’s anything more than a magazine’s worth, or if it’s particularly expensive, I replace my friend’s ammo. Usually, we’re swapping stuff around so much, that we pretty much even out our use, though.
I’ve done it. I usually supply a few boxes of several different calibers. I let them know that, like the drug dealer, the first taste is free but after that they’ll have to provide ammo if they want to go again.
I used to take liberal "friends" shooting. Some even bought guns. Then they voted for Hillary and Barry anyway and talk about how easy it is to get guns and how guns are so deadly they have to be regulated. They're not friends anymore, just "business-friendly acquaintances."
I take friends too. Since I reload the ammo is cheap so they can shoot a lot without hitting the wallet too hard.
Good policy until they want to shoot my .450 Bushmaster or my .454 Casull. Only my wife and kids get "free" ammo at that point.
What a silly question! Of course I would, and do. Of course all my friends have mass quantities of ammo, and guns of their own. I do however have to subsidize the shooting of my grandsons and at least partially my son’s as well.
My city friends come out here for target practice.
