Readers have demanded to know what I think of the James Comey hearing. In the words of Daffy Duck, shoot me now.
Okay, the slightly longer answer is: I don't think about it. And there isn't enough money in the world to pay me to think about it. But, if you insist, I will make a couple of points:
1) The FBI should not be in the counter-intelligence business. There are, as Democrats never tire of pointing out, "17 intelligence agencies", which is, by my count, 15 too many. We should at least get it down to 16, by eliminating what's meant to be a domestic policing agency.
2) As I've pointed out in recent weeks, someone seems to be holding the US Constitution upside down: We have courtrooms presuming to be legislatures, and the legislature pretending to be a courtroom. Both perversions are part of the systemic dysfunction that obstructs proper representative government. The allegedly Republican Congress should investigate less, and try legislating some of the President's agenda.

This isn’t Steyn’s funniest column ever, but it’s absolutely brilliant.
When the fog is cleared away, it becomes obvious what an utter witch hunt this whole thing has been, how phony the “Russia” concept has been, and how REMARKABLY clean President Trump happens to be, because they have found absolutely NOTHING on this guy.
But they still try. Because it’s not about truth, justice, laws, or national security. It’s about thwarting the will of the people.
Steyn makes me laugh. Either listening to him sub for Rush or reading him has made me realize he’s like the Robin Williams of Political Commentary with his brilliant illustrative way with words.
It especially cracked me up that this Cannuck knew from childhood the Daffy Duck reference.
If you look back to Gore v. Bush and Trump v. the US, it is obvious the Uniparty is attempting to do away the peoples right to vote. “We will tell you who you want.”
Thank you Mr Steyn for pointing out the utter absurdity of having 17 intelligence agencies. My continued support for POTUS is contingent on his draining the swamp of these partisan, pointless bureaucrats. Unlike the Fake news reporters, I get the feeling I won’t be disappointed.
C’mon, DJT, put Flynn in as the FBI director; then turn him loose.
Comey is a Klintoon stooge ...
A politicized intelligence agency is worthless. How many of these 17 are bit politicized?
