Former Clinton Campaign Manager Robby Mook on Comey Firing: ‘Looking Like Watergate’ (barf alert)

On Friday, Hillary Clinton‘s 2016 presidential campaign manager, Robby Mook, likened the ongoing controversy over President Donald Trump‘s firing of FBI Director James Comey to the scandal that brought down former President Richard Nixon.

“I think the real issue is the longer this goes on, the more and more this is looking like Watergate,” Mook said on MSNBC Live. “I don’t say that lightly.”

He continued, “You have a president who probably did something wrong. You had an investigation that was closing in on him and his associates. And everything we’re hearing — all the reporting — is pointing to the fact that Director Comey’s investigation was getting too close; and the President wanted to disrupt that.”

He said that it really comes down to Congress to act here, concluding, “The investigation needs to go independent. Congress can make that happen today if they want; and they need to take action.”

Mook also sent out these Watergate-related tweets this week:

First I don't think this is remotely like Watergate and thus far not one single Republican Senate or House member has rose to the bait and even mentioned impeachment, let alone pushed for it.

With that being said, it would take MANY Republican traitors for impeachment and removal to be successful. IF the Republicans ever do ever rise to the bait and succeed or even seriously attempt to take out President Trump, they are FINISHED as a viable national party. Essentially Trumps election was a shot across the bow of the party, the base was saying, "We don't want to abandon the Republican party so we are giving you a chance to change with Trump as your leader." If that fails, those 65 Million who voted for Trump will sit home en masse next election and the Republican party will be lucky to hold 50 seats in the house after 2018.

Well his candidate (Hillary) was up to the eyeballs in the deaths of 3 good men, and the Ambassador in Benghazi and tried to blame it on a video. And her breach of security with her e-mails. And her crooked dealings to get huge donations to the Clinton Foundation. And her crooked dealing to forward the cause of her brother and gold mines and housing after the Haiti disaster and on and on ad- infinitum. How she has the nerve to show her face. The only place I want to see that face is in a court of law!

He’s probably hearing it from the same people that told him not to bother campaigning in Michigan and Wisconsin because they were in the bag.

LOL—where do the Democrats come up with these fools? 0bama’s misuse of presidential power against private citizens, including one candidate Trump: just fine. Hillary’s criminal negligence with classified information and probable influence peddling via the Clinton foundation: just fine. Trump cans an incompetent and probably untrustworthy FBI director: national crisis. These people are so full of shit we should till them all into the nearest corn field.

Hey Robby Muck. Get your travel time in while you can.

Once Jeff Sessions indicts you and the wrest of you traitors, there’ll be scarce time to do anything.

I heard Fort Leavenworth is cold in the winter time in a concrete cell.

In the first place, a grown kid in a skirt hasn’t a lot of influence. In the second place, this particular dork had zero credibility after cratering Clinton’s campaign.

Why he even speaks out loud and in public is embarrassing. Total delusion dulls awareness, I guess.

Certainly doesn’t. Nor does it say anything about the actual truth of the “investigation” by the FBI, which was revealed on Thursday’s World Wide Threat open hearing of the Senate Intelligence committee.

It was revealed more than once (from questioning by Marco Rubio,Susan Collins and Angus King, and others) that the Russia investigation of the Trump campaign is continuing uncurtailed by Comey’s firing— it wasn’t being run by Comey, and it isn’t being run by McCabe (though as interim director he could block inquiry against hillary, foolish as that would be, as it is clear that fibbies are themselves being surveilled- thank God for Admiral Rogers). This hearing and the speed of Trump may quickly put a Director in place to have oversight of the data flow, and prevent the remaining clinton faction to get away with anymore protection of the real Russian colluders— the clinton campaign and the clinton foundation, and ms. hitlery herself.

RE:”Watergate”

But now Trump has admitted that he might have recorded WH conversations, just like Nixon did.

A special prosecutor and then impeachment may be near.

Time to panic.

And the budget.

I am not getting any pings now here suggesting impeaching Trump like I was over the first Trumpcare bill and the budget.

Yeah, that budget probably wouldn’t have been much different if Shillery was President.
