I think Trump has enough cover for Firing Comey. In fact I think it shows the real genius of Trump.
The Democrats have called for Comey to be fired on several occasions and were highly critical of him.
Trump didn't fire him within the first month because the heat would be to great.
Trump waited about 4 months before firing him and actually firing him during a convergence of confluences. Regarding Hillary's reappearance and continued criticism of Comey, the media jumping on that band wagon, the continued criticism from the Democrats and the admissions that there is no evidence of Trump colluding with Russia.
By waiting he gave Comey the opportunity to come clean, but his last hearing testimony it was clear he was not.
Immediately appoint Trey Gowdy to head the FBI and this issue ceases to exist.

Ok they had a long list of issues with Comey on how he handling things and yea he could have done better, but why not have a sit down chat with Comey and ask for his resignation. This happened with urgency. They handed him a cardboard box of his desk family photos and said leave now.
Why the urgency? This was a big deal and to be done. Like when you catch an employee stealing.
Nobody said it yet but I will - Pizzagate?

We can hope. I'm afraid that even with Trump draining the swamp, there is still some immunity for politicians against being punished for things that would get life sentences for ordinary people.

Just watched “The Story” on FOX...They were saying Trump was wrong in the way he did this and it should not have been done...
Then on comes Tucker Carlson and says it was about time this was done...
Except for Carlson and Hannity, FOX has gone to the dark side....

About time one of the Obamunists in the intelligence communist/White House was truthful when (s)he said that (s)he learned about some matter by watching the news.

Clarke would put fear in the Demoncrats.
Clarke’s appointment would also be a boon to the prison construction business.
At least he would be out of the White House.
FBI directors have to have law degrees, so does the good sheriff have one. Second, it is going to be someone who appears at arms length. It won’t look good if it is someone who campaigned for him. It certainly won’t be Guilliani or Clarke. It will probably be someone we have never heard their name.
