You’ve been snookered folks! By that poor elderly doctor who was involuntarily dragged from his seat, had his face smashed in, and was beaten unconscious by the evil airport security at the behest of United Airlines.
Because there’s no evidence any of that was true. It was in fact a premeditated temper tantrum gone viral, comprising one 69-year-old Vietnamese-American David Dao, a medical doctor who lost his license, planning a lawsuit from the moment United first politely asked him to give up his seat. He demanded to be dragged, did an excellent impersonation of Ned Beatty’s character in that horrific scene in Deliverance, and struck his lip on an armrest. From the many videos taken by numerous passengers, obviously from numerous angles, there’s no evidence of a beating, a “serious” concussion, or bodily damage beyond that lip.

Other editorial writers slam Chicago PD fore being dishonest and using excessive force, and I'm not talking about the incorrect attribution in the Dao case.
If you wanted no mention of your prior, lengthy time on FR, coupled with the fact that you’re “back,” you should not have posted that info. It makes no sense to put such details out in the public domain, and then pretend that it’s somehow unusual for people to take note of them.

Everyone knows UAL has backtracked. They have to because the LEFT and a few conservatives have put a target on them. They aren’t stupid. It’s settlement time.
In the meantime, the whole flying universe knows people are taken off of flights and it’s routine. Period. And if it wasn’t lawful, they would have stopped it a long time ago.
A few conservatives join the LEFT in being subject to their feelings and emotions instead of things like industry standard practice which includes removing passengers from a plane. It’s ok...I get emotional about lane splitting on my motorcycle. It’s illegal but I think I it should be ok.
I have flown two long round trips on United with 13 and 16 hour legs. I can tell you that you are attempting to pick up that turd by the clean end. The only thing not unpleasant or insulting about the trips was the fact that they reached their destinations and I was able to deplane. I will not get on to another UAL airplane ever.

In 50 years of flying, I've NEVER heard any airline offer cash.
All you've done is shown that they had options to get one more person off the plane that they could have used but did not use.
Compensation in the form of check will be made by UA on the day and at the place where the failure to provide confirmed reserved space occurs ...
If you're suggesting that I stand up in the plane and say, I've read the CoC and I'm not getting off until you cut me a check, I would be a "disruptive" passenger and then they'd have other grounds for tossing me. But I'm sure the pilot has a UAL checkbook in the cockpit for just such a contingency.
It's always a take it or leave it offer and the crew never negotiates. I've seen people try.
Your "sue them later" option is laughable. You, I and the airlines know that no one is going to sue them for this amount of money. And that's why they strong arm you into their deal.
All this is true but UAL had no right, as per the contract you sign when you buy your ticket, to require a seated passenger to give up his seat. The A/C was not, in fact, overbooked. Last minute decisions to fly staff is not overbooking.

Talk about Fantasy. Some lady says he was “no more belligerent than anyone else after a long day”...and that means he wasn’t belligerent. That’s Fantasy Island all over.
This has nothing to do with left vs. right. But let’s go there.
Are you saying the CoC a “living” contract? It doesn’t mean what it actually says. It says whatever UAL in its unlimited power wants it to say? Maybe there are some shadows and penumbras in there that completely alter its meaning.
I believe in the rule of law and not a rule of men. It’s a conservative value. You should check it out.
And BTW

To say United’s CEO hasn’t backtracked, softened, walked back, etc his initial comments , his initial words about who was responsible, who didn’t handle it right, etc.......is as your screename says.....Pure “Fantasy”
