Last night Donald Trump ordered an attack on Syria. In less than 100 days, Trump has taken more action against Assad than obama did in eight years. The attack was appropriate, measured and proportional. It sent a message.
To Assad and to North Korea.
Trump did not have to set a red line and then walk away from it.

Michael Hayden said on Thursday.It seems the evidence was slam dunk. I watched retired Four Star general Jack Keane say we had military personnel on the ground who witnessed the aircraft drop the bomb and that we have radar tracking that traced the aircraft departure from and return to this targeted airfield. This is largely confirmed here.“My raw emotion, watching it from the outside, was just embarrassment,” he said.
“Sometimes the certainty of an action is far more powerful than the severity of an action,” Hayden told the Foundation for Defense of Democracies’ annual forum in Washington.
“We’ve made everything uncertain, which actually makes you appear weak at some times, but also then demands that when you want to appear strong, you may have to be overly severe to overcome the uncertainty. It’s just bad all around.”
Syrian fixed-wing aircraft dropped chemical weapons on civilians in Idlib earlier this week, two U.S. military officials told NBC News.And from the NY TimesThe U.S. military saw the aircraft on a radar and watched them drop the bombs, the officials said. The radar soon picked up the flashes and booms in the rebel-held area of Syria.
It remains intriguing that Syria was able to mount a chemical weapon attack as both John Kerry and barack obama assured us that all chemical weapons had been removed from Syria.Witnesses described how Tuesday’s attack unfolded. That morning, a network of observers was, as usual, tracking the skies to warn residents and rescuers of possible airstrikes. They spotted Syrian aircraft and sent out warnings on walkie-talkies.
Syrian Su-22 aircraft were then seen circling above Khan Sheikhoun at 6:47 a.m. and again at 6:51 a.m. One of the observers — based on long experience — believed that the planes might be carrying a chemical payload.
“Guys, tell people to wear masks,” he warned.

He managed to destroy a fragile alliance we had with Russia and Syria in jointly destroying ISIS.

If you don't want a Syrian invasion, end the damn civil war.
If you want the war in Syria to end you have to get the Saudis to stop funding it.
They started it and fund it.
And now Trump made an attack helping ISIS.

Why is Trump fighting ISIS’ fight for them?
How is hitting an airport reported to be the launch site for a chemical weapons attack “fighting ISIS’ fight for them?” Unless you mistakenly believe that those killed in the reputed sarin gas attack were themselves ISIS or allied with them, your statement makes no sense.
If this is nothing more than a punitive response to Syria’s use of WMD than I can live with it. But if it’s the opening salvo to more direct involvement in Syria than I’m opposed. There is nothing there that I would consider to be worth further American blood and treasure. Obama squandered all of the work done there by us over the last 27 years so let’s leave it at that. Do any of us honestly think there’s anything there worth sacrificing one of your loved ones lives over? The Middle East is a perpetual civil war between the Shia and Sunni factions that supersedes borders, politicians and nationality. The only thing they can agree on is their hatred for non-muslims. Leave them alone to do what hey do best, at least until they threaten us and then kick ass, take names and leave with the understanding that if they threaten us again we’ll be back in force. No more nation building, playing cop or rebuilding what we destroyed.
No one’s going to war with Syria, least of all us.
Bombing the air strip is not ending the civil war. It is encouraging the rebels who may turn out to be worse.
If you want o stop the refugees start there first and stand up on your hind legs and claim your authority under the national security responsibility and tell a few judges to remain in their places; we can’ secure our country by judicial fiat leaving it open to hundreds of judges. Tell germany and Italy and everyone else you won’t support them taking in more.
Tell saudi arabia to open up their air-conditioned tent city to the Syrians until the war is over.
Bomb missile sites in Iran and NK and nuke development program locations and support Israel leading the attacks. that’s how you protect our country.

Unless you mistakenly believe propaganda that Assad gassed his own people, your statement makes no sense.
If Assad did not gas his own people, who did? And where did the perpetrators get the chemical weapons necessary to do so?
Without Obama and Clinton destabilizing the Middle East, there would be no need for Trumps action.
Give props where they are due.
Those would be good questions for you to get the answers to.
It’s even funnier because bombing Assad was totally unproductive, misguided, and helped terrorists.

Of course it's not ... in and of itself. But this changes the dynamics and sends a message to Putin that Obama really is swimming in Tahiti and Trump is in charge.
Give this a little while to marinate .. and hope for the best: this nasty, ugly civil war and all the ramifications it has for Western civilization will find its end around a negotiating table.
