Sen. Ted Cruz wasted no time mincing words on what he thinks about the three phases of the American Health Care Act Sunday morning on Face the Nation.
“That ain’t gonna happen,” Cruz told host John Dickerson when asked about the 3-phase plan President Trump and House Republicans have been pushing since the roll out their non-repeal and replacement of the Affordable Care Act.

Well, if you need 60 votes eventually in either case (of which I'm not sure) why not get as much up front as you can. Ryan bill doesn't help anyone much except the insurance companies and the medicaid moochers who weren't poor enough to qualify for medicaid pre-expansion up front. MY premiums will keep skyrocketing and they're already above the income poverty line. Cruz's plan kills the mandates NOW that are pushing up premiums and deductibles and making actual healthcare unaffordable both to receive and for doctors to provide. Save the many with the Cruz plan NOW and scr*w the moochers, the insurance rent keepers, the lobbyists and the politicians they've bought!
The midterm senate races aren't being fought in moocher territory, they'll be fought over those currently in insurance h*ll. Do the Cruz fix now and if you really need to laminate it with 60 votes you'll have them in two years. Cruz is willing to let Pence play the hero and Trump claim the credit if he can be sure there will be true credit to claim. Yes the Rats will claim we played hardball, but they always claim that even when we've been the worst squishes. Ignore their complaints and enjoy the schadenfreude from having the clever lawyers and Harry Reid style willpower on our side for a change! Then do it to them over and over again. A LOT of sacred sows need to squeal an active higher before all our problems are fixed.

Ours are $1300 - for 2, one 55 and one 51. Got the cheapest, crappiest plan available too. Very few doctors on it. Doesn’t matter because the deductible is $6000.
Cruz is dead right. Phase 1 is it. If it is not in Phase 1, it is not in the final bill. Period. Lyin’ Ryan knows this.

This rag has been a progressive fish wrapper as long as I've lived in Anniston Alabama (59 years) and its editor(s) never miss a chance to bash conservatives, gun owners, Christians, pro-lifers, Republicans (you get the picture) while at the same time singing praises to their Pantheon of gods (Hillary, Obama, Carter, etc) and their progressive causes.
As a retired federal employee, I was largely unaffected by Obamacare; however, I know of others who really took a hit. I've read, in various threads over the past year, how some of you have lost your coverage and been forced to pay exorbitant premiums/deductibles in order to find coverage and I thought, who better to tell their stories than our very own Freepers, who are intelligent, passionate, articulate, engaged, and am certain can write a mean letter to the editor. Cruz was talking about some maneuver he could pull to get 51 votes to vote for this potential bill. So which is it? Is he for it or just playing both sides as usual?

I’m with you on this. That the Left has convinced too many that the government should now be involved in health & insurance, is an idea applicable only to a socialist state.
Cruz, as one of only a few true Conservatives in Congress, is hesitant to illuminate this, but, I’m sure this is his core belief.
Let’s not forget, ObamaCare passed without one single Republican vote.

He’s right; it isn’t. The RINO Congressional leadership has no intention of implementing Phase 2 or 3.
I agree with you. Senator Cruz is the Constitution genius. Senator Paul is a doctor. Let them put their fields of expertise together to do a fix that passes. And, oh yeah, it’s time to DO SOMETHING about the renegade fake Republicans in the HOR and US Senate.
Cruz want to pass a GOOD repeal & replace bill with his 51 vote “maneuver”. He doesn’t want to pass the monstrosity called RYANCARE at all. The GOPe RINOs in the Senate plus the House RINO leadership are using the 60 vote closure threat as an excuse for why they “can’t” pass a good bill. Cruz is calling bullshit on them.
Cruz is on OUR side folks, he’s not the enemy.
But it is being retained, maintained, and defended by the Republicans. They get too much money and valuable goodies from it. They fear they will lose their campaign money and their post Congressional lifelong income as lobbyists and consultants.
