Seyi Hunter one of Nollywood uprising actress said women should not walk out of their marriage simply because their husbands cheat. She said this in a recent discussion with Vanguard
The actress told VANGUARD Allure, It isnt right for any lady to walk out of her marriage for any reason, except domestic violence is involved. I am not talking about occasional slaps here and there. If he beats you like hell beat a thief, my dear sister you need to run for your life because he might kill you one day or disfigure you. But if you leave because of cheating, then youre the most foolish person alive and youre not going by the Holy Bible.
The Bible says man shall not live by bread alone. You dont expect him to eat Egusi soup the rest of his life; he has to eat Afang, Ogbono, etc, once in a while. Lets not forget men are polygamous in nature, its been there right from the days of Abraham and it cannot be changed. The way entertainers are ending their marriage is alarming. Is it that Ubi Franklin is a wife beater or Lilian Esoro left because hes a chronic womanizer?
Same goes for Tonto Dikeh and Churchill. If these ladies left their marriages for the latter, it means this generation is worse than I thought, because weve lost it. No patience, understanding or endurance to allow the man test the waters once in a while. I hope they settle their issues, but if they wont, let them hurry with the divorce, so that single girls can make their moves on these guys. Before the women eat me raw, women are not allowed to cheat. The men are to love us, care for us, support us in everything and provide for us, while we do all these and more for them. Every smart woman will provide her man with condoms and lubrication and pray that the Holy Spirit guides them to use it on their side chicks, so they dont bring infection home to usVanguard quotes her as saying.
I have no idea who this is, and do not expect that she is someone who should be giving out this type of advice.
I’m posting because I think this thread might be a good place to pick up chicks. Wife is out of town...
Let him get the other woman’’s diseases and keep them away from his spouse. How? Cut him off ladies.
B.S. big league
Isn’t it easier for women?
No one can make a judgement about another couple’s marriage. Infidelity is a serious thing, but it’s survivable. Both parties need to work to recover.
Most couple don’t want to put in that kind of work.
Leaving a marriage for adultery is legitimate, I think.
That being said, I think many (though probably not most) women agree with her. I think many (most?) men probably would quit on a marriage with a cheating wife, though.
I think the sexes look at this a little differently.
Excuse me while I dish up a heaping helping of Egusi soup and some Afang, Ogbono, etc.
What the heck?!? If this is an American actress (or even a foreign actress in America), wouldn’t it be better to speak in terms that aren’t complete gobbledygook to people who speak English?
I found myself having zero interest in her opinion because it all sounds so “other”. Not relatable.
Cheating is emotional abuse, which can scar deeper and longer. Nobody HAS to be married. Sticking around is a formula for continued loss of self-esteem and enables and abets sinful behavior. Guess Hillary is this actress’ role model. What a life....
Actually, he's supposed to live by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God. Some of those words are, "Thou shalt not commit adultery."
A woman knows a child she bears is half hers.
Men were not completely sure until DNA tests.
That is a big difference.
Nigeria. Nigeria is English-speaking, sort of.
This is Nigeria. Tribal mores prevail where Islam and Christianity do not.
A big screed of wierdness mixing the bible with pop psychology and feminist dogma.
I think that the writer puts too much reliance on the Epistle of Saint Gloria to the Church in Steinem.
Its a very European view of marriage. It doesn’t matter who the husband takes to bed—the wife has the ring, the respect and the place in society—her children will inherit the estate. The bimbo will be out in the cold—BUT if the wife moves out—the bimbo can move in and take over as wife #2. Its about family—its about your kids.
Now THAT was a bizarre read. Although, I remember that when Goldie Hawn said she didn’t expect her men to be monogamous, Norm MacDonald declared her to be the greatest woman in the world. (My wife, alas, did not get Goldie’s memo.)
Tell that to the Biden clan...
Trust. The trust is broken.
