When democrats lie to Congress there is never a downside

The accusations of Jeff Sessions lying to Congress are flying around, accompanied by calls for his prosecution and his resignation. However, democrat appointees have lied to Congress repeatedly over the last eight years.

DNI James Clapper:

It was an exchange made famous not because of what was said at the time, but because of what Americans discovered later.

At the tail end of a rare open session of the Senate Intelligence Committee on March 12, 2013, Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., asked National Intelligence Director James Clapper whether intelligence officials collect data on Americans.

Clapper responded "No, sir," and, "Not wittingly."

It was a lie. How was it later explained away?
Director of National Intelligence Jim Clapper wasn’t lying when he wrongly told Congress in 2013 that the government does not “wittingly” collect information about millions of Americans, according to his top lawyer.

He just forgot.

“This was not an untruth or a falsehood. This was just a mistake on his part,” Robert Litt, the general counsel for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, said during a panel discussion hosted by the Advisory Committee on Transparency on Friday.

“We all make mistakes.”

Was he charged with perjury or forced to resign? Of course not.

CIA Director James Brennan

As reports emerged Thursday that an internal investigation by the Central Intelligence Agency’s inspector general found that the CIA “improperly” spied on US Senate staffers when researching the CIA’s dark history of torture, it was hard to conclude anything but the obvious: John Brennan blatantly lied to the American public. Again.

When Trump puts dems on the defensive there is never a downside!!!!

Sessions is a good man but nothing shows me he is ruthless, like Rudy.

Tillman like is :) and a number of his other picks, which is good.

And Rudy dealing with the cyber security...he might have been told to focus on dems violations!!!

"Clapper is a proven liar. This is the guy that told Congress the NSA was not collecting information of any sort on millions of Americans (later determined that they were)."

There is another not well known reality, where Clapper could have asked Canada, the UK, Australia or New Zealand spy on Trump and any American or Americans without ordering it to be done by the NSA or FBI. Leaving Obama able to say, “I didn’t order the spying on Trump Tower, or as Nixon said decades ago, “I am not a crook!”

1. Project 5 eyes

2. Project Echelon

3. Project Prism

#1 and #2 go back to the early days after President Truman got rid of the OSS and established the CIA and the NSA.

Neither agency were supposed to spy on American citizens as per their charter.

However, with 5 eyes, we would/could spy on the UK/Brits, Australians, Kiwis and Canadians and let the mother countries know when they might have problems. Then, they would monitor American citizens for us and give us the data on American Citizens. Supposedly the countries mentioned above can’t spy on their own people. Our NSA/CIA/? Could do that and report to the mother country if there was a problem.

Echelon came about a little later, and with the 5 eyes lateral spying agreement, Echelon became solidified and very functional for decades.

Prism supposedly replaced 5 eyes and Echelon, but the 5 Eyes/Echelon concept was/is still there.

So Obama would not had to ask NSA/FBI to spy on Trump. He could have had Clapper ask his counterpart in Canada to monitor Trump Towers and listen in to what was said.

The FBI may have put bugs in or set up electronic interceptions at Trump Towers for their Canadian intel counterparts to monitor all verbal and digital transmission to and from Trump Tower in October of last year until this year up to Trump becoming President.

GW in one of his current mumblings, may have directed us to Canada and the process noted above! So did Canada monitor Trump and his people in Trump Towers, in NYC and then report back to Obama, NSA, FBI and ?, so Obama could deny that he ordered the spying?

Obama is playing a game by saying he didn’t order the FBI?NSA to spy on candidate Trump and his people. Obama probably had Clapper or ? ask his Canadian counterparts to spy on Trump and his people.

Have fun with this data! Don’t try searching for this late at night to avoid getting insomnia.

“2. Project Echelon”

Echelon has been going on since the 90’s. And, NO, Echelon does NOT spy on US citizens...France and Britain spy on US citizens...The US and France spy on British citizens...the US and Britain spy on France.

That share what they know. I knew a guy in the 90’s who worked on the algorithms.

Clapper didn't lie. They did it HALF-wittingly...
