Two separate sources with links to the counter-intelligence community have confirmed to Heat Street that the FBI sought, and was granted, a FISA court warrant in October, giving counter-intelligence permission to examine the activities of ‘U.S. persons’ in Donald Trump’s campaign with ties to Russia.

Contrary to earlier reporting in the New York Times, which cited FBI sources as saying that the agency did not believe that the private server in Donald Trump’s Trump Tower which was connected to a Russian bank had any nefarious purpose, the FBI’s counter-intelligence arm, sources say, re-drew an earlier FISA court request around possible financial and banking offenses related to the server. The first request, which, sources say, named Trump, was denied back in June, but the second was drawn more narrowly and was granted in October after evidence was presented of a server, possibly related to the Trump campaign, and its alleged links to two banks; SVB Bank and Russia’s Alfa Bank. While the Times story speaks of metadata, sources suggest that a FISA warrant was granted to look at the full content of emails and other related documents that may concern US persons.

Not really - Sessions sidelined himself as it pertains to the Campaign. Nothing about looking into illegal wire taps. When Sessions gave his news conference, I notice a smile or smirk on his face - Wonder if he knew how this was going to play out.

Well one of two things: FISA warrants true; or NYT and other News Organizations lied because they said their stories based on “wiretapped” information. Can’t have both. More sources say true versus not happening.

For the record in this, the Trump campaign as early as May 2016 suspected someone was bugging Trump Tower and possibly Trump loyalist Corey Lewandowski also suspected this. If you recall in this the collaborators of Jeb Bush colluding with CNN with planted questioners of why Mr. Trump hated women, was coordinating with Hillary Clinton and the Obama regime from the start.
It is even more damning now in George W. Bush appearing and smearing President Trump for his brother Jeb to be nominated Vice President in a Trump impeachment, after a shocked world has witnessed the hugging and cuddling of W Bush with Michelle Obama in public events.

I thought Sessions explicitly named the prosecutor in his recusal. Further, I read that Trump has issued an executive order that changed Obama's replacement troll in case Sessions recuses himself for something besides the Russian issue.

In short, I read that Trump evaded Obama's trap.

George Webb believes the original June warrant that was denied was reviewed and granted on July 12 after the WJC meeting with LL. The warrants are good for 90 days hence the October 12 renewal.

According to this Slate article, Trump has a secret server for communicating with Russia. Even Hillary has piled onto this story … This is nonsense. The evidence available on the Internet is that Trump neither (directly) controls the domain “trump-email.com”, nor has access to the server. Instead, the domain was set up and controlled by Cendyn, a company that does marketing/promotions for hotels, including many of Trump’s hotels. Cendyn outsources the email portions of its campaigns to a company called Listrak, which actually owns/operates the physical server in a data center in [Philadelphia].

When you view this “secret” server in context, surrounded by the other email servers operated by Listrak on behalf of Cendyn, it becomes more obvious what’s going on … It’s Cendyn that registered and who controls the trump-email.com domain, as seen in the WHOIS information. That the Trump Organization is the registrant, but not the admin, demonstrates that Trump doesn’t have direct control over it …

This link lists a bunch of other hotel-related domains that Cendyn likewise controls, some Trump related, some related to Trump’s hotel competitors like Hyatt and Sheraton.
