An ascendant Breitbart.com and President Trump are truly Andrew Breitbarts greatest legacy
Wednesday, March 1 marks the fifth anniversary of the death of conservative icon Andrew Breitbart. We think it is important to remember his legacy, as his name is heard often these days, and his influence looms large. For those not familiar with him, Andrew was a larger than life character who figured in the establishment of several prominent media institutions that play significant roles in todays journalistic landscape. He was first associated with the Drudge Report, famous for scooping Newsweek on its Monica Lewinsky story; The Huffington Post, the very popular leftwing blog; and Breitbart News, from which came the lefts chief bogeyman, and Donald Trumps chief strategist, Stephen K. Bannon.
Wow, it’s been five years already. RIP
An Honorary Freeper and perhaps a real one. But at the minimum a Lurker for sure.
I miss him.
I remember the shock. I still wonder if someone offed him. I know he had health problems, but just like all the Russian higher-ups dying recently, I just cannot shake the feeling that it was something sinister.
Controversial- Adj - used by Media to discredit
No it’s it is certain that he was a freeper.
I used to know his screen name.
he posted pretty often, too.
He started in 1999 or so I remember.
He really really freaking hated John podesta at a very early point and admonished that Podesta was doing something improper with kids.
he was incredibly clear about it, and a snippet of him screaming about it got into the movie, Hating Breitbart.
His posts here at freerepublic sort of stood out because he would sometimes tell stories about encountering celebrities in Los Angeles, back in the day.
I later learned he was his father-in-law was a Hollywood celebrity
Orson Bean, IIRC.
It's hard to believe that it's been five years. Notice how the questionable deaths always seem to be conservatives (Breitbart & Scalia for example) but NEVER a lib.
I wonder why?
Yep. Never applied to their own.
I really recommend Andrew’s 2011 book “Righteous Indignation: Excuse Me While I Save the World.” This is mandatory reading for the questioning 20 something person.
I’ll never believe both Andrew and Scalia weren’t assassinated.
While they are not always victorious, the Left plays to win.
Agree. Just ask the 50 or so Clinton associates who are no longer with us.....oh wait, they are no longer with us. And have you seen the newest speculation about Seth Ross’ murder? Big Media is suggesting it was Russia that did that. Unbelievable. And I thought the Dems wanted a reset in relations with Russia. Silly me.
