Conservative blogger, Michael Strickland, a former contributor at The Gateway Pundit and Progressives Today, was jailed in Portland, Oregon in July of 2016 after he pulled a gun on a gang of thugs who were going to attack him at a black lives matter protest.
In 2015 Michael was jumped by an anti-gun activist who broke his arm in three places at an anti-Second Amendment event.
Victoria Taft reported on Mr. Strickland’s 21 count felony indictment which you can read in full here.
Strickland, 37, was found guilty of 10 counts of unlawful use of a weapon, 10 counts of menacing and one count of second-degree disorderly conduct.
Here is the video of Michael Strickland pulling out his gun…

I remember James O’Keefe mentioning this case on his YouTube channel.

He should not have been arrested, charged, brought to trial, or convicted.
His first mistake was to place any confidence in the rule of law.

Exactly. You don’t show people a gun. You show them bullets. Like knife fighting. They don’t get to see the knife.

That’s what he did wrong.

The jury had to find him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Based on just this video it is impossible to know if he was justified or not. We just dont know how threatening toward him that the crowd actually was IMHO.
Agreed.

What State and College of Law is your Law Degree from?
Different State have different laws. An Oregon Jury said that he did not. Go argue with them.

In at least 50 of the 57 States, one cannot brandish a weapon or threaten some one, no matter what the circumstances. If one truly believes one’s life is threatened, he draws his weapon and discharges it into his/her attacker. The police appear, the evidence is examined and he/she goes free. How ever, should one draw one's weapon and hold said attacker for the police. The police arrive, and now it is your word against theirs, his/hers. And they, he/she, will always be as innocent as the day is long. And the investigation/ interview will always end with the policeman walking over to you and saying,"Turn around and place your hands behind your back." never forget, If you are justified in drawing your weapon. You are justified in using it. And act accordingly.

Look who they are putting in jail and then look who they are putting back out on the streets. I think they are getting their orders from the obscure.

You are a complete jackass. He was backing up to get away from the menacing crowd. He was in a public space and had every right to be there and not retreat. People like you give a bad name to brave men.
