I have been friends with Sage for more than a decade and she's a wonderful person. I was on the phone with her last evening when she was arriving at the airport. She had hosted the "NBA on ABC" studio show and had to be in Houston last night as she's hosting the Super Bowl media day today. As she was about two miles from LAX her car could go no farther because of the protests. She had all of her bags for the entire week in Houston and had to run to the terminal to make her flight. She didn't make it, nor did many others. She wrote a post about understanding the right to protest but that she also had a right to go about her business. She's gotten absolutely crushed on Twitter. She's the same woman who got crushed several months ago because she took a shot at Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans for kneeling during the national anthem.

On February 16, she's moderating a forum on race and faith with Ravens tight end Benjamin Watson (did a fantastic speech for March for Life), Tony Dungy, Warrick Dunn (very well known for building many houses for single mothers, including for Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson when he was 10), former Heisman Trophy winner Danny Wuerffel, CBS's James Brown and others. These participants have been hammered on social media for participating because they aren't "real black men."
I am personally invested, and thus biased, but I think this forum will be a very different look at race from people who can sit and discuss topics like mature adults. Of course, we've already received requests to remove her as the moderator. The forum, which will be held in Tampa, is available for Livestream for individuals and churches/schools as well at www.underourskinforum.com
Critics “base” ?
WOW!!! ESPN actually hired a conservative?? Maybe they didn’t check out her application too closely in the beginning.
Well, she’s black, so they knew she had to be a lefty.
Just one point:
Why do foreigners have the right to protest American politics on American soil?
They don’t! Deport them all.
* Bash
Can’t the airports do something about the protesters?
Sage is also a hottie...
I don’t know about protestors but try parking for more than a few seconds in front of baggage claim at LAX and you’re out of there!
The national guard needs to be out there. Like after 9/11. It makes a nice terrorist target. It disrupts critical infrastructure. It lets rioters into the areas and distracts from overall security.
Its insane that this is allowed to continue.
Great post!
Yes, I believe they can, as can all the cops that spend all their time out there making sure no one parks for over 10 seconds at the curb, but I'm beginning to think they don't want to do somelthing about it, if you know what I mean.
There was no problem keeping people away from the airports after 9/11.
