Despite devastating Democrat losses in the 2016 Election, President Obama left a small message of hope for his constituency during his final press conference: He said, "At my core, I think we're going to be okay." If his comment sounded vaguely survivalist, it's for good reason.
As Washington faces a looming change of power in two days, President Obama has yet to address staggering Democrat losses that extend far beyond the election of Donald J. Trump. The Trump administration coupled with the success of fellow Republicans has effectively given Republicans control every branch of American government.
Republicans have just won more political power than they have held within the memory of any living American. Beyond the Republican presidency, both Congress and the future Supreme Court will be dominated by Republican influence. In addition to the national Republican sweep, state governments have become predominantly Republican. Republican dominance of governorships and state legislatures is at a ratio of 2:1.
Voters have put Republicans in charge of 68 state legislative chambers. In 32 of those states, Republicans control both chambers representing over 60% of the American people. Democrats will control only 31 chambers (13 state legislatures) which is representative of less than 30% of the U.S. population. Similarly, 33 Republican governors now represent 60% of the American people
Republicans hold outright veto-proof legislative majorities in 27 states, again representative of nearly 60% of the American people. In contrast, Democrats have absolute control of only 8 states which equating to less than 20% of the U.S. population.
In spite of the overwhelming political defeat of the Democrat party in the 2016 election, President Obama has reassured his loyal supporters, "At my core, I think we're going to be okay." So much for presidential reassurance.
Ironically, they will be much more than just "okay" if they chose to work together in government for the benefit of the American people. On the eve of the Inauguration, it's a shame that so many have chosen to wallow in their bitter defeat and not rise to the occasion. But in spite of their withdrawal from the 45th Presidential Inauguration, the new Trump administration is destined to make all of America great again.
Unfortunately, the losing coalition of boycotting Democrat Congressmen will continue to lose even more while they choose to continue down a path of bitterness and resentment.
America will be OK BECAUSE of the Republican sweep.
I wonder if they will report the viewership of the final press conference. But from reading the article it sounds like he was just saying goodbye to his employees in the media so I can get the sentiment but am horrified by the unholy relationship.

This reminds me of an old joke.
It seems a retired Marine lived on a small island off the coast of Libya. About once a month the Marine would row to shore, pick up some supplies, and remind the locals of their sordid history with the Leathernecks.
After several years of this, about forty locals decided to get together to teach the Marine a lesson. They set out in ten small boats with the plan that two boats would land, beat the Marine and then set his hooch on fire. When the those in the other two boats saw the fire, they would land and destroy the Marine’s crops and devastate the rest of his island.
The first two boats landed. A half hour went by, then an hour, then an hour and a half. The Libyans on the remaining two boat debated what to do when they hear a splashing in the sea. They pulled out one of the guys who went in on one of the first two boats. After he was in the boat, he screamed, “Don’t land the other boats! I am the only survivor! There are TWO of them!”

Four years from now, Obama will be delivering his “final” address to the Nation before the 2020 election. And so it goes.
Despite of the most bitter defeat for democrats in over 150 years, they continue to applaud him. It is a complete disconnect due to the cult of personality.
With the exception of the line from 0’s farewell speech, I wrote the article to lay out the enormity of their 2016 losses. We own 2/3 of all major political office and the future 2-4 SCOTUS appointments. They loss Bigly.
Yet the focus has been misdirected almost entirely on Trump. The democrat party and media will not acknowledge their terrible losses, for good reason.
Sorry Obonzo, America will be “OK” BECAUSE of the 2016 election. You got two days left. Then, do America a favor and get the hell out of our country and take all of your commie comrades with you.
These wussybama supporters can’t face the fact that they have effed it all up for themselves and their future.
So they keep their heads up their obamaholes instead.

With two days left, someone needs to total all the prison sentences that he’s commuted. He may eventually out pace all the past presidents combined if he continues at this rate thru Friday.

In some ways it is/will be a good thing that Obambi continues to open his mouth and spout his leftist claptrap. Since the first midterm in 2010, democRATS have lost over 1,500 federal, state, and local elections. If you take away the motor voter illegal voter registration, the RATS have very little.
