Your post is making my mouth water.

Okay, so the menu so far is

Alaskan King Crab with Wisconsin butter.

NC pulled pork, Texas brisket, KC ribs

Pennsylvanian Apple Pie with Wisconsin cheddar.

Lets keep this going. What other TRUMP states can add to the menu.

Practically every state has its signature food. It hurts me to leave out Ol’ Virginny, not their fault that the Imperial City bloated beyond the bounds of DC and polluted their electoral process. What was it, four counties in NoVa swung the election to Hillary? The rest of the state was solid Trump.

Virginia makes a fine baked ham.

Michigan and Ohio were both very instrumental. I don’t know them well enough to reel off their signature foods. Maybe MI and OH FReepers can chime in.

Can’t believe you would say that about Mt. Vernon. My parents have been part of the assoc. for years and very active until recent health problems. They know the pres well. And my mom is a huge Washington fan and extremely conservative, and has a mouth on her. She’s all for Trump. I’ve been to the new underground museum too and I do not see anything really PC/liberal about it. What bothered you? I’m sure it’s not perfect but largely they just straight-up tell the truth, and the whole truth.

Many of the tour guides were SCREAMING libs!

The main theme was the “enslaved people” and how they were sooooo oppressed. Meanwhile my own lying eyes read the placards about how the “enslaved peoples” got free trips to Paris to study the culinary arts and possessed fine bone china.

I should be so oppressed.

I can imagine some guides being like that. But the information laid out is very plain and factual. Most activities involve little commentary and just speaking to the job at hand. Our own guides - really only in the house itself, nowhere else in the while estate including farming demos, gravesite, and museum - have not been particularly obvious prejudiced.

Agreed. The information that was spelled out on placards was very informative, but sadly, most of the tour guides had to put their prog spin on everything.

We had quite a character on our Washington DC monument tour. He was a black albino fellow who obviously graduated with a Fine Arts degree.

He was quite entertaining and clever but because we had several black tourists on board, he cowtowed to them.

These same tourists were too “tired” to get out of the bus to see the Washington monument, the Lincoln monument, the WWII/Vietnam/Korean conflict monuments but when it was time to stop at the MLK monument, they suddenly got a burst of energy and we lingered at that monument perceivably much longer than the other stops.

They broke out in a chorus of “thank god almighty free at last” sporting their leather and fur fineries. Hubs and I just rolled our eyes.

Albeit the weather was quite unseasonably cold when we went in early April. It actually SNOWED for a little while. We being from upstate NY were a bit disappointed as we can see that kind of precip for six months straight.
