"There are a hell of a lot of nice people out there" in "gun-country, God-fearing America" who "are doing what everyone else in this world is trying to do: the best they can to get by, and take care of themselves and the people they love."
At long last a left-winger capable of honest self-reflection emerges in the wake of Donald Trumps election victory.
In an interview with Reason magazine, celebrity chef, Obama idolator, and Trump hater Anthony Bourdain blamed the rise of the president-elect on people like himself.
When we deny them their basic humanity and legitimacy of their views, however different they may be than ours, when we mock them at every turn, and treat them with contempt, we do no one any good.
WHEN WE LIE ABOUT WHAT THEY SAY AND ACCUSE THEM OF BEING RACISTS BASED ON NOTHING AT ALL AND NO PROOF AT ALL AND NO INSTANCES OR EXAMPLES AT ALL...
And I'm supposed to pay attention why, again?
Oh, SHUT UP and COOK.
“There are a hell of a lot of nice people out there” in “gun-country, God-fearing America””
Perhaps painting those nice, God-fearing people as racist, sexist, xenophobic Islamophobes at every turn was not a smart move then.
News about news about navel gazing about news and navel gazing and analysis of news and navel gazing.
I’d sure like to hear things only once, and then everyone else should STFU about it. Reason reported it. Leave it alone. Go do some original news gathering.
My 2 Cents about the blogging culture. Nothing to do with the FR poster ...
because he has eaten fricasseed anise?
Actually...SHUT UP, do vodka shots, and Don’t Cook!
Yeah, right. . .my feelings were hurt. The decision to support DJT has nothing to do with illegal alien criminal activity and abusing federal assistance that I paid for to help American citizens. It has nothing to do with terrorism or 8 years of a faltering economy and exhorbitant taxes or Obamacare. I just don’t feel good about myself when shallow, whiney, self-absorbed people of questionable intellect say mean things about me. You are so important to me, please like me. . .ummm nah. Go pound salt.
Bourdain does not get it by half. He is an obnoxious elitist. That much he got right. the rest is his atheism, debauchery, and anti-Constitutional statism.
Trump is a man for this season, willing to subject himself to the outrage of the outrageous in order to shut them down once and for all. He is a warrior, plain and simple, just like George Washington was a warrior, both, fighting for the cause of liberty for all.
Hash slinger with dirt on some presstitutes and polidiots thinks I care what he does or doesn’t say .....
There is no doubt their arrogance hurt them... but they lost for bigger reasons than that..... so let them open their eyes a little... but they still are fairly blind
Sounds like the Bitter Clinger chickens are coming home.....to roooost.
Bourdain is really a writer. Nobody's seen him cook a meal in years.
This guy stays about 1/2 tanked on his show.
I still wonder why PETA hasn’t gone after Anthony. He has murdered more than a few Animals on his show so he and his friends could cook and eat them.
Saw him Shoot and Stab to death a couple of Pigs. He probably justified it because the Pigs were obviously Republicans.
“Bourdain: What I am not concerned about with Trump? Wherever one lives in the world right now I wouldn’t feel too comfortable about the rise of authoritarianism. I think it’s a global trend, and one that should be of concern to everyone.”
But he saw nothing authoritarian about Obama??
The guy is a schmuck - he’s the type that gets it for 5 minutes and then reverts to form.
I betcha if Trump had walked into his restaurant five years ago Bourdain would have been slobbering all over him.
Crap! He’s catching on.....
Someone call him a racist, quick!!!!!!
