Heres a tricked out AK47 that you don't come across everyday. Have a look at this Russian Alpha AK. Not the real deal but a clone imitation of the ones used by the Russian Counter Terrorist unit.
Here's what was used to clone this Alpha AK by Larry Vicker:
That’s a stamped AK so it’s an AKM clone, not a milled AK-47 clone. And the 5.56mm is a NATO cartridge. The Russians use 5.45x39mm or 7.62x39mm.
I have an Arsenal (Bulgarian made) AK (civilian model, of course) with a milled receiver and it’s N.I.B. from the late 1990s. NEVER USED. One problem - thumbhole stock. I wish I had the money to make it 922 compliant but I’m pretty much tapped out on “gun money” these days.
Get a Tapco G2 trigger kit (3 parts) plus matching US foregrips, pistol grip, and buttstock. That’s the 6 you need and still use the better non-US mags.
I build AKs from kits.
Milled is just extra weight. It doesn’t make any effective difference in durability or accuracy.
Do barrels wobble like that usually?
THis is an awsome gun. You do not need much to make it compliant. Just get US made magazines and replace butt stock, foregrip and hand grip...

AK is meant to flex indeed. This why it does not break but also why accuracy is lower.
You can get used tapco part cheap to make it compliant.
Yes, it is but one of the reasons why the AK is not known for accuracy. Not as pronounced wen you get to the 5.45x39.5 though.
Believe it or not the FN FAL had some such issues as well, it is why the 21 inch barrel was the length it was.
