MOSCOW -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has awarded Russian citizenship to action film actor Steven Seagal, the Kremlin said Thursday.
The 64-year-old Seagal has been a regular visitor to Russia in recent years and has accompanied Putin to several martial arts events, as well as vocally defending the Russian leader's policies and criticizing the U.S. government.
Seagal is the latest in a string of foreign celebrities to be awarded Russian nationality by the Kremlin in recent years. Others include French actor Gerard Depardieu and U.S. boxer Roy Jones Jr....

Wow! Sounds as though you discovered it before I did! I truly did not dare to hope that a natural substance could really help to this degree. I now consider the ibuprofen to be a valid cannon to use in my arsenal, but only for dire need. I do wish you well in your pain management journey. My Darlin is encouraging me to mention that there are pain management support groups available in many communities and online.
I’ve been reading about turmeric, and it has a lot of wonderful benefits, including what you point out: brain function.
Just did another quick search and found this list of 20 benefits to taking supplements and eating turmeric in foods:
http://www.healthdiaries.com/eatthis/20-health-benefits-of-turmeric.html
We’ve been eating more east Indian foods (red dot, not feathers...although certainly the feathers have wonderful healing traditions too!) We have been using saffron more, along with some of the baking sauces like tika marsala and biryani.
I have not yet done so, but now that I know that turmeric is so important, I am thinking I might seek to obtain some roots and start a patch. (Pinging greeneyes here...It may also have prepping implications...hence also pinging Tilted Irish Kilt - there is a discussion of the use of turmeric as pain reliever upthread.)
Thanks Texokie, that is very helpful. .. I am going try some capsules and see if it works for me.
Thanks for the ping. I used to sprinkle turmeric into a lot of my cooking just because of the known benefits. A good sprinkle in chicken soup makes it a very nice rich/yellow color.
However, I have taken turmeric capsules off and on for the last several years. Especially instead of ibuprofen for inflammation, due to the stroke risks associated with ibuprofen.
You are welcome. I do hope it helps!
I had a hunch you already knew about this! I just wanted to be sure!
Seriously, if you don’t have tumeric, try Cinnamon (Ceylon variety).
SS was also granted Serbian citizenship in 2016.
One of the first things is to remove USA citizenship from him and alike. Why does the USA have multiple citizenship?
I like his movies but he’s an odd bird, to say the least.
He is an odd bird. I liked *some* of his movies and the *cook* in them :)
BUT, we all realistically live above and beyond movies.
