I get the gist, but the title doesn’t make much sense. Why would an “airline pilot” be flying an Air Force C130?

Airline Pilot flying Air Force C-130? As a Air Force Vet I can tell you this story is baloney.
To: UMCRevMom@aol.com
I didn’t know the Air Force had “soldiers”.

Don’t you know? It is Obama’s private airline, or at least that is what he thinks!

What a load of c**p! Having spent an inordinate amount of time flying around in C-130s I can assure you there is nothing to “pump”. it is a “honeypot” and he that uses it dumps it.
That said the story has a nice ring to it even if it is inaccurate.

OK but airlines do not normally fly C-130s.

Was the pilot a Reservist?
Anyway, I would have thanked the airman profusely for doing such a job on short notice.
Rounding up that honey wagon took some doing, and are pilots really that unaware of just how much they depend upon all ground support personnel, not just flight mechanics?

Couldn’t agree more. As far as I know, as an Air Force vet myself, only USAF, USCG and Black Ops types fly C-130 Hercules birds. Plus it was my experience that pilots were generally the most easy to get along with officers in the Farce. Could have something to do with placing their lives in the hands of their ground crew, suppose? But it does make for a funny story if you don’t know about such things.
