Husband and I are the only conservatives and Trump supporters in my large extended left wing family. We have always been quiet when family idiots start braying against Republicans, conservatives, Trump, etc.
No more. I'm done with the ignorant fools in my family. I'm taking them on in person and on Facebook and I imagine they all hate me at this point--including my brother, who is an executive at the St. Louis Post Dispatch. What's new is I DON'T CARE anymore if they hate me and never speak to me again.
I've told them "This is Total War, and we are on opposite sides. You are with the enemy and you are now the enemy."
How is it going with your families and family dinner discussions LOL?

It’s like the revolution, with the loyalists, or the Civil War. There really is no way to reconcile the 2 sides, one just has to win. I don’t feel too bad about losing friends who want to enslave me and bring down my country.

I was criticized for saying so on another thread, but I repeat. They are imbeciles. Case in point, Hillary flat promises she will raise taxes to improve the economy. Anyone who actually believes that statement is an imbecile. You can SAY you believe if you have $15 million in your bank account like Comey, or you can say you believe it because you whored out cheap, but if you actually BELIEVE IT you are an imbecile.
Trump should come out with a children’s book when this is all over.
my entire family are hardcore Trump supporters - even my ex-union Dem Mother in law who had a ‘Come to Jesus’ moment once she moved out of CA. Even my cousins are conservatives.
Several years ago I told my in laws if Hitler had a (D) next to his name they would vote for him. And we are Jewish.
That took a few years to heal.
I love all my family but I refuse to interact with those who are taunting LIB idiots. Life is too short to waste time in their presence.
Most of my family is conservative already. That said, I have a lot of Mormons on moms side and I’ve made it clear that I think McMullin’s stunt is dangerous and foolhardy. And yes, I’m where I’m not worried if they like my position or not.
Don’t assume all Canadians are pro-Clinton and anti-Trump. I would guess it’s about 70-30 but that’s quite a few dissenters, and pro-Trump is probably tilted towards those who visit the USA more frequently (like me).
Our media are horrendously p.c., they don’t even let token conservatives on the air up here, they have trained seals that they call conservatives but actually they are just socialists who like the idea of lower taxes.
And our typical panel discussion is three guys and a gal from Toronto, all named Pat.

We have a neighbor who has treated me like the unwanted
stepchild over the CLINTONS. The Democrat Party is his
religion. He started in with me when I stopped by their
house one day in an emergency. Got on his high horse about
how I should agree with him that “THEY need to LEAVE THAT
MAN ALONE!” I LEFT ASAP and have not been back there since.
He was polite to me the last time we ran into him in the
Walmart parking lot several months ago. (He has expressed
TOTAL love and admiration for HUSSEIN OBAMA & the GREAT
job he has done.\s) I guess he has to justify his vote for
Obama; but he can keep his piehole shut around me as he
won’t respect me voicing my opinion. So, I can just avoid
trouble by keeping AWAY from them. (Fang and I would at
least spit on him if he were on fire; but I sincerely
doubt that Hussein would even do that.)
I dont talk to my brother because he’s a liberal asshole. No really. I dont. Most of my family members are libtards and the dinner table during Christmas looks like downtown Baghdad after the talk turns to politics.
