Just use the bare finger on your bare hand to pull the trigger.

I fail to see why that snake needed to be killed.

If you’re out in the wild and stumble upon one there is no need to kill it. Didn’t watch his video but not into killing things because “you can”.

I wish he'd mentioned how many strikes the snake made against his boot before trying to get away when he stepped on the tail. Some idiot is going to try this in tennis shoes ...

Interesting.
Surprised the thread hasn’t been taken over by the FR contingent of PETA yet though.

Sometimes if the head is severed, the snake can still bite and the venom will still cause damage.Years ago, I chopped the head completely off a small copperhead with a sickle when I was weeding. Nudged the head up against the body and the head bit the body! Then the headless body tried to strike the head! True story.

When I was growing up in Montana the local paper ran a story of local hunter that had a hostile encounter with a rattler.
The hunter was climbing up a rocky hillside that had some outcroppings that allowed a handhold to pull himself up as he climbed. On one of those rocky shelf's he reached up and accidentally grabbed a rattler that was sunning its self. Both parties were surprised to say the least.
The snake immediately struck out at the hunters face and neck but as luck would have it the hunter had grabbed the snake at a portion of its body to just allow it to hit at his neck and that was protected by a thick turtleneck. The snake couldn't get leverage to penetrate and was just out of range as long as the hunter didn't let go. The both slid own the hill withe the snake making multiple attempts and the hunter holding it at arms length in a death grip.
He showed up at a ranger station with the snake still in his grip, dead where he had beat it on a rock. The ranger called for help as the hunter had thought he may have been hit. He wasn't as it wasn't his day that day but he was scared near to death.

Snake shot. It’s the only way to be sure. Also I am hearing tales of rattlesnakes that do not have rattles. Apparently they are some kind of mutation and are being seen more and more often in the desert southwest.

You can do this same thing with a grizzly bear.
Just grab it by the tail.
