Two months after he was booed off the stage at the Republican National Convention for snubbing his partys presidential nominee, Sen. Ted Cruz endorsed Donald Trump on Friday.
That declaration to vote for him, though, comes after the Texas senator openly disparaged his primary opponent repeatedly in part responding to Trumps attacks on his wife and father.
1. Early on, Cruz speculated that Trumps tax returns could show a mob connection
In February, Cruz offered his take on why Trump hadnt released his tax returns in an interview on NBCs Meet the Press, suggesting that they might show Donald's business dealings with the mob, with the mafia. The fact that Donald seems terrified to release his taxes suggests that theres a bombshell there, Cruz said. Its natural to wonder, Well, what is it that he's hiding in his taxes?
2. In March, Cruz called him a sniveling coward
Speaking to a group of reporters in Dane, Wisconsin, after Trump made a comment promising to spill the beans on the senators wife, Cruz pointed his finger and said, Donald, youre a sniveling coward. Politico is in their feelings because this deals yet another blow to their candidate.
He’s better than Cornyn, although that’s not much.
The people of Texas will decide if they want to keep him as Senator. They keep Cornyn, so he’s probably safe.
He does not know what natural born citizen means, so he should definitely not be a Supreme Court Justice.
I’m sure both insulted one another quite sufficiently.
Don’t you mean the people of Alberta Canada?
“I still want him Cantored.”
I’m in Texas, and will help that effort in any way I can.
The people of Alberta didn’t vote the Cubanadian into the US Senate, Texans did.
What about the 6,482 times Trump insulted Cruz and his family? I’m waiting for one of these guys to resort to: “I’m rubber you’re glue. Whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you.”
Yeah, this whole thing is that childish.
