But still way too high...
It doesnt matter who you are. If youre awake, if youre paying attention to whats going on in the world around you, theres a good chance you dont trust the press. Considering the inarguable fact that most mainstream media outlets are little more than regurgitators for Democrat talking points, this is hardly surprising. If they ever really existed, the days of non-partisan journalistic curiosity and integrity are long gone. We know this, and we cite examples every day.
Now we have some polling that shows just how far the mighty fourth estate has fallen.
According to Gallup, only 32% of Americans still believe the lies, half-truths, and shameless propaganda being offered by the old media:
MSM promised the libs Hillary had it in the bag.
Turned out to be BS. Now even the libs don’t trust them.
Won’t hurt their paychecks though, so no worries.
Even the credulous mouth breathers in America are starting to recognize the lies.
You know, all the extras from “Idiocracy” that walk among us and are slow on the uptake.
It should be hitting ZERO!
32% of Americans are full-on Communists.
What would be the bottom threshold of trust, 25%?
Does Gallup ever poll Americans’ trust in pollsters?
If they could bring back Walter Cronkite, they would know “that’s the way it is” [Not]
Yup! Powering through down to zero. Amazing how so-called news outlets all simultaneously use the same catch-phrases put out by their political bosses. Such as "Hillary powered through...". Just as if the MSM doesn't report news, but take marching orders from above. There is no trust in the MSM, or even plain old media. Trust is powering down to Off.
Yep...lower than whale sh!t...and that's pretty low.
No one believes the American Pravda.
The traditional top-down propaganda efforts are not yielding the desired results; thus, motions toward thought control have begun in earnest for the soft media. Efforts to contain the conversations to safe memes by subverting the hosting forums open choice of topicto make taboo based upon the elitists preference to neuter any challenge, are failing. The actions to censor have become too blatant to escape notice. TwitterFacebookYouTubeGoogle appear to have become openly partisan; and, their risk taking hasn’t been fully appreciated to this moment.
Social media provides an alternative path, serves as a place to stand, provides the footing which Archimedes claimed would allow him to lever the world into a new orbit. The youthful, politically engaged people are in the midst of an effort to achieve different results through substantiation of the narrative, rather than blythly accepting proclamations from above. They aren’t buying the hard-sell nor the obvious manipulation.
As with Gawker, hubris may bring about their downfall. Betrayal of trust for thirty pieces of silver is not innovation; but, a disheartening reveal that Do No Evil was just marketing. Thus here todaygone tomorrow isnt an empty platitude. Consider Yahoo, Friendster, Myspace, in terms of the fleeting relevance of social media once the sparkle wears off.
