The poor dears get very upset when someone eschews the BS and speaks plain truth.
Im not going to pretend Ive been following the Ryan Lochte story. Nothing about the Olympics really interests me, including this. But it does interest me when people who merely tell the truth about things find themselves taking heat for doing so - and that is now happening to NBCs Al Roker because he went so far as to express his indignation over Lochtes false story of what happened to him in Brazil.
According to a report out today, Today Show staffers are beside themselves, and demanding an apology or more, because Roker said what youll see in this two-minute clip:
He lied.
Even a weather forcaster could see it.
It’s not a lie until one of their respected anchors call it a lie. The weatherman is on a lower level of respect than their anchors. They consider him being ‘out of line and possibly even insubordinate!’ Not to mention, most everybody is tired of ugly old Al Roker anyway, and wishes he would just retire.
They don’t dare fire him, because he will play the tattered old race card again. They try to nudge Al into walking the plank on his own.
Just another case of the pot calling the kettle black. Al Roker lies repeatedly about global warming.
Did Al poop his pants, again?
You dont have to be a weather man to know which way the wind blows, BUT is Big Al as upset over Hillary’s lies, corruption and lifetime of criminality?
What was Al Roker’s “intent”? Isn’t that always the crucial factor?
Sorry but what Lochte said was largely true and most of what the Brazilian police said was lies. And our media of course sides with the Third Worlders.
Townhall had an excellent article debunking this.
Here is what happened:
Lochte and his drunken teammates stopped at a gas station to use the bathroom.
The bathroom was locked, and none of them ever went inside.
Since the bathroom was locked, they went around back to pee behind the building.
At some point, Lochte removed a framed poster from the wall. This was the only “damage”.
The swimmers were confronted by private “security guards” who drew weapons and demanded money.
The “ security guards” were not working for the gas station. They had no connection to the non-existant crime.
Lochte characterizes having random people pointing guns at him and demanding money as being robbed at gunpoint.
He might have a point...
Bwa ha ha!
Who?
Was that on television?
The police in Rio did.
Which should surprise no one.
But a lie can be half way around the world while truth is still putting it's shoes on.
His teammate said that Ryan tore the poster down for no reason. He also said that Ryan inexplicably started a screaming match with the security guards. His teammate didn’t understand why he did it. Also, didn’t Ryan say that they were pulled out of a cab? He keeps changing his story. Every time he changes it, it sounds more like what happened, but his initial story was nothing like the truth.
I’m assuming his teammate is telling the truth since videos back up most of what he said, but nothing like what Ryan said.... Ryan said that they took his wallet and their watches, which videos have proven to be a lie.
They had guns pulled on them because Lochte tore down a poster.
You’re saying that’s hunky-dory?
This was not a law enforcement action. This was a robbery.
Do you suppose the “Security Guards Who Were Guarding Nothing” turned over the “fine” to legitimate authorities?
If not, this was an armed robbery, plain and simple. Some people get argumentative when they are being robbed. I am much more of a give-it-up- quietly kind of guy, but YMMV.
To liberals there are no lies, just different versions of the truth for different people; depending on the victim group they represent.
