No, holding foreign terrorists indefinitely at Gitmo with no charges is not an ‘affront to our value

It's a wonder America still exists when we entertain such ignorant notions

As a pro-terrorist president releases more Islamic terrorists from Gitmo, we’re once again having one of the stupidest debates in the history of this nation. This is the one where many clueless Americans - even some who generally would rate as conservative - decry that we have “held them without charges” and that we should either “present the evidence against them” or release them.

The more I hear this nonsense, the more I believe it’s a wonder this country wasn’t long ago overrun and conquered by some serious enemy that understands what it means to fight and win. No wonder Putin wants to reconstitute the Soviet empire. He must look at what America has turned into and lament that the USSR didn’t hang on long enough to conquer this sad bunch of sorry-asses.

They’re POWS, not convicts.

i am sick and tired of poeple telling us their (vastly distorted, inane) views of what “our” American values “are”

especially when it comes from the Illegal IslamoNazi Infiltrator in Chief...

but

holding Moslem terrorists indefinitely IS an affront to our values..

we should not be holding, protecting, and feeding them... We should be dispatching them directly to Alluh in HELL!

They were never given "POW" status. They are "detainees," which was supposed to be an interim legal status. The problem is: no one crafted a speedy method to determine legal status issues.

I deal with these issues every day.

If we had any sense, they would be classified as unlawful combatants who have no standing under any Law or Convention. As such, they have abrogated any claim to human status and can be killed with less consideration than rabid dogs.

Actually, if you read the commentary on the Geneva Conventions (GC), the delegates considered this question and concluded they deserve no such protections. We are giving it to them.

I could write a briefing paper for President Trump on how to align his Executive Order (which would replace Barky's) with the authors of the GC.

I am fully aware of the US decision and vehemently disagree.

Unlawful combatants were specifically excluded protection because their willful actions placed them outside of the law. State-sponsored espionage agents have no such protections, and yet we afford protections to terrorists? Death is too good for them.

Most of the MSM have never read the Geneva Convention rules or could even understand them because because of preconceived notions and prejudices. But they are no worse than most US Ivy League and major college law school professors.

We should put them on a boat, like man without a country, that never reaches any port but is resupplied underway where they can live out their lives.
