Rampant mainstream media bias against Donald Trump could play right into the GOP presidential candidate’s hands, sparking a sympathetic backlash from voters who see unfair press hits as a heavy-handed shadow campaign to boost Hillary Clinton, experts said
yesterday.
“His way of thinking is, if I take a battering ram and hit the door long enough, it doesn’t matter what I say, they’ll distort it, and eventually that will hit critical mass and people will turn on the media and Hillary,” said Victor Davis Hanson, a senior fellow at the Hoover Institute at Stanford University.
“The ultimate objective would be sometime in October he will have succeeded to say, ‘You pick on me, but Hillary does the same or even worse and you don’t report or discredit it,’ and people will be more sympathetic to him,” Hanson said.
He also noted that Trump’s controversial remarks often end up drawing new attention to his opponent’s old gaffes. For example, Trump’s Second Amendment comments forced some reporters to eventually acknowledge that Clinton, too, had made similar remarks. In 2008, she justified her decision to stay in the Democratic primary, even though she trailed mightily behind then-Illinois U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, by pointing out that Robert Kennedy had been assassinated in June 1968.

Let's hope their open and constant attacks on Mr. Trump opens the eyes of some of the low-information voters.
The media listens to every word of Trump’s, trying to find something to get him on. They do this for Republicans, but not for dems. They’re going to obsess over every word of his, giving him more media time.
But actually they are scared of him.
I’ll be at the polls as soon as they open with my wife and son. That’s three votes I am certain of.
I agree. People have been so bombarded by the press that if they haven’t been swayed by now they never will be. Any new reports, true or false, will be like water on a duck’s back for Trump.
The media is not even trying to hide their bias anymore. They are being brazen.
I realize the commie lib voters don’t care or worse, they are wilfully blind. I have ex-friends who are life-long liberals who were willfully blind to the media bias. They would not even peek behind the curtain at OZ because they knew what they would find, so they always excused the media at every turn. Massive enablers.
I just hope some of the wishy washy uncommitted middle voters start to see the extreme left wing media bias. That would be all it takes for Trump to win. Just for them to wake up to the huge media push for Hillary. That would sway many votes against the media and for Trump. They would wonder, if the media hates him so bad, maybe he is good for me.
You can count on two more from my wife and I. We have stiff competition, though, we live in Illinois..
One aspect that encourages me is the Yuge crowds at Trump rallies, (and of course the msm won’t show them), and the embarrassingly small crowds out for Hillary.
The problem I see with low-information voters is that they are exactly that...Low information...They get what little news they absorb from these liberal media types...They do absolutely no research into what is actually going on...As far as they know, Trump is a bad boy and Hillary will give them all cake...
They both have the same goal dismantle the constitution from the 60’s media is still helping them.
They gap between their ears absorbs the notion of a utopian government do what you want just pay the taxes.
The level of bias is now sheer propaganda. It’s everywhere, on the national news, the local news, on the radio etc. I can’t even watch.
I have nervously watched the drift of the country for years, wondering whether it will survive as our traditional nation. The suspense has been haunting.
One thing I do know is that if Hillary is elected, the suspense will be over. It is not that she will destroy the country, but if that ghoul is elected, it means the country has already been destroyed.
Notice how quickly they dropped the story of two moose limbs when they realized we were not only willing but eager to be painted with their broad brush. When it dawned on them how quickly we could blow that up on them they dropped that like a hot rock!
Gird your loins and take an anti nausea pill because we are just getting warmed up. In a month we will be in the propaganda equivalent of hand to hand combat.
It’s risky in the extreme, but it may have been his strategy from the beginning. He has always known he can’t win playing by the rules.
Let me posit two major attacks coming on hillary. ( there are others. )
First Trump has held fire on the information advertisements. Manaforte is a traditionalist on this. You don’t waste money on ads before Labor day. She has punched out like “ropa dope”. When we start , it will be withering fire of the truth about this unindicted criminal liar and bribe taker,
Second, the debates loom for hillary. She will get annihilated. Trump will be on her like white on rice. She will be in a panic both before ,during and after. The press spin will not work because she is so vulnerable of moral and criminal grounds. I am still predicting she will “pull out of the debates” claiming “racism” or some contrived excuse which will be laughable. She is a target rich environment for exposure as a bribe taking criminal and she knows he will nail her cold. Everyone rest easy. The enthusiasm for Trump exceeds anything in political history. These polls are narrative polls dedicated to demoralizing us but everyone knows the ploy and it fires us up more. Hellary had a very bad week with the bribery emails and prairie fire of legitimate questions about her brain damage and seizures. Go Trump!!
Watched a few seconds of MSNBC this morning. There sat a tax cheat demanding Trump's tax documents. Just unreal. Isn't Sharpton a paid Hussein advisor?
Leaders must lead. Others will soon follow.
What I saw in Fairfield, CT last night was an eye-opener. Thousands of Connecticut residents showed up in oppressive heat to see Trump speak and they were openly contemptuous of the media. These weren't Freepers (there were only 3 or 4 of us there) but they were speaking our language. While standing in line and then inside waiting for the rally to start, people all around me were talking about media bias and how committed they are to destroying Trump and putting their beloved Clintons back in office.
There is a movement going on and if in "blue" Connecticut we can get that kind of a raucous turnout for Trump, I have to say that we are winning. Many average Americans are tuning out the mainstream media and coming to the realization that they have been steered wrong all these years.
The media bias must be shown to the voters. It’s the “preparation of the battlefield” phase of the strategy.
He’s only got a few more weeks before he has to move to the attack.
Trump was not my first (or even second or third) choice, but I will crawl over 10 miles of broken glass to vote for him if it means preventing Hillary from being my son’s CINC!
