He has gotten very few responses, primarily because the person gave no one any real clue as to what it was. Advice, not complaint. I even created a link for him.
I think it says much more about the initiative of the average FReeper that we now have. No free spirit of adventure nor willingness to make the effort to quench the thirst for knowledge. Those who do not want to learn can not be taught.
At least I am not like those who jump on someone calling them click bait artists (especially when they just joined today or even recently). BTW, I did make the effort to find out on my own what his post was about, and then reported back for others so that they would know.
Seems to me there was much knowledge to be gained in that song. Particularly for the poorly informed crowd, of which FR has a fair sized portion. To discourage them from gainful information does them no service.
Please enlighten the poorly informed as to the great nuggets of knowledge that came forth from this song. Perhaps the problem is not that they are poorly informed, but that they misinterpret. So share your wisdom. I sincerely want to know what you personally gained from this song.
So all the information about the numbers of people not employed, lowered home ownership, increased national debt, increased governmental spending and crony trade deals plus lots more is considered by you to be of no importance?
What I gained was a presentation of our nations many governmental created problems in a pithy, catchy and memorable format. One of the beauties of combining poetry and music to convey a message.
Of course it is, that is why I support Donald Trump. However, the song does not actually say what you claim it says. While it may elude to those points it does not specifically address any of those issues. Furthermore, it implies that all we have to do is buy American to solve this countries issues. The truth is that this country's issues extend way beyond just the economy.
Illegal immigration is by far the largest problem this country faces. Why? Because we are allowing in far too many who have no clue about our freedoms that make this country unique. They have no vested interest in this country, only what they can get from it by hook or by crook. As there becomes more and more who only care what they can get, and could care less about the country then the more divided this nation becomes. In addition, the people become more like slaves than the masters they once were.
Crony trade is the result of crooked politicians whose only interest is maintaining their power, which again this song did elude to. The way they retain their power is satisfy their wealthy donor classes. Those of us who give 3.00, 5.00, or even 100.00 dollars do not even really register on their scales. Which explains why they ignore us, and why they do not care if you are a citizen or not. In fact, that is why they bend over backwards to pander to the immigrants, legal & illegal. We are just a means to an end, period.
Out educational system is not only terrible, it is very destructive as well. We are no longer preparing our youth to lead the future. Instead we are creating an elitist segment who will inherit regardless of their capabilities. In essence we have created a quasi-monarchy, of not just one family but the families of the powerful.
Like I said it is a nice patriotic song, and I enjoyed it. Even to the point that a grabbed it off of YouTube for my personal collection. Seriously though, you are way overrating its importance in the grand scheme of things. You are also wrong that my questioning the poster as to what his post was about, as being a decisive factor in others finding out for themselves what the post was about, or that I was even being critical towards that person. That is just how you chose to perceive my post.
From what your writing you haven’t viewed the video. The video is more than just the song.
