Vanity -- Who I Suspect Will Be Trump's Choice for Republican VP
July 14, 2016 | Satin Doll

No, I do not believe Trump's choice will be Gov. Pence of Indiana. Nor Newt, nor Christie -- not even a man. Yes, I do believe the proposed VP will be a woman.

I suspect that Trump's VP running mate will be ex-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

Why? Well, she is a natural born citizen, a real conservative, and she is ferocious contra liberals/progressives. In addition, she isn't on the list of speakers for the Cleveland Convention and she has been silent of late. She has had lots of experience in dealing with those demons from Hell (the MSM) and her nomination will literally terrify the GOPee boys club.

Nor do I. It would be political suicide. She is too polarizing and it would motivate many Lib fence sitters to vote for Hillary.

I don’t think it will be Sarah. She has had some fairly “iffy” appearances, and IMHO, her public persona has been tarnished. While there is no questioning that she is a patriot, I do not think she would help him win, if on the ticket. People would react as if she is just another “celebrity” running alongside the “celebrity” candidate.

Yes...the media did too good a job destroying her. It would be called the reality show campaign - they wouldn’t look serious.

I don’t agree but we have to acknowledge the perception for what it is.

You said it well, as to delivery “shrill and disjointed”. The only word I could think of was “hysterical”, which was not an accurate descriptor.

If he wants to bring out millions of Christian conservatives to help him on the ground he would be smart to pick Sarah.
To all the needless attacks on Sarah from some of you. Why? What has she done other then sacrifice alt to try to make the Country better.

Probably not Palin. Another Trump-like personality? Redundant.

I keep saying, the VP isn’t about anything but plus signs pointing toward a win. It’s not about governing. It’s about campaigning and solidifying the man’s run.

I’m a big Palin fan, but she would be a drag on the ticket (as another post suggests, even she knows this).

I see Newt and Christie and Palin as minuses to the Trump run.

Pence would not be a drag (Breitbart has a heckuvan eval on what he brings).

I like Joni. She’d be far more exciting than Pence without stealing a single beam of Trump’s spotlight.

But. Trump is far smarter than me. His pick, any pick is good with me.

Bingo! I believe it’ll be a woman for the reason she’ll be Trump’s attack dog so to speak against Hillary.

That way, they can’t accuse Trump of being anti-woman.

Pence dropped out of Governor race. He would not have done so if he wasn’t going to be the Veep.

No chance.

As much as we love her, she’s had too much exposure in the past. I don’t even think she’s with Trump 100%.

Sorry...as much as we love her, she has done nothing to improve her speaking skills and has not shown she would be prepared for the MSM any more than she was in 2008. You may have noticed that after she made a few rally stops during the primaries, she has been a no show since. The few times we watched her, she was almost incoherent in her speeches.

Sarah is what she is, and she is great...but that does not include primetime Presidential politics.

I really wish it were not so, but it is. She’s like a restless colt, loudly kicking out the back of their stall. Wanting to escape confinement. Many times during this election cycle, that is how Sarah has presented herself.
The term ‘word salad’ does apply, and too often to put her in the VP slot. Besides, ‘always a bridesmaid, and never a bride?’. She may consider a second run as someone’s 2nd Banana a lateral promotion, vs vertical. Sort of anticlimatic for someone as ambitious as she.
