“Riding Dirty” The Curious Case of Philando Castile – Falcon Heights, MN Police Shooting…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | 7-8-16 | sundance

Posted on 07/08/2016 12:54:31 PM PDT by sheikdetailfeather

MAJOR UPDATE BELOW: In order to give the update context we are placing the update at the conclusion of the original outline.

By now everyone is aware of the officer involved shooting of Philando Castile that became a viral BLM activist case as a direct result of his girlfriend, Diamond Reynolds (aka Lavish Reynolds) live-streaming the aftermath from their vehicle. – BACK STORY HERE –

NOTE: It is critical to remember -as you review the images and the video- optically the live stream was captured as a mirror image. Some video uploads mirror the image, it can be confusing, you have to reset your reference points. Philando Castile was driving, Diamond Reynolds was the passenger.

During the uploaded video narration Ms. Reynolds stated the police officer pulled them over for a broken tail light.

There are several aspects of the narrative as told that didn’t pass the sniff test, however, something about the “tail light” just didn’t seem to make sense. Especially when you consider it was daylight when they were pulled over; and where –in the aftermath media video– it can be noted the tail lights were operable.

Do you have a point? I've read the article, and even noted earlier that the traffic stop was a pretext for checking the ID of the driver because he matched the description.

But, I've looked at the pictures and while I see the resemblance, there's no distinguishing features in both pictures that would positively identify him as the same man.

And, as I've explained to others (after getting the info from CCW holder in MN): the Ramsey County Sheriff wouldn't necessarily have issued Castile a CCW. Castile lived in Hennepin County in the past, and it would remain valid until renewed.

Castile's mother stated that both her son and her daughter have permits. Why would she say that about her daughter if it wasn't true?

Finally, as I just posted: I don't know how you are so sure that's a handgun in Castile's lap. It may be, but it may also be a cell phone or a wallet.

Sure, all of this may mean that he is who you think he is. But, the flip side is that he could also have simply been a CCW holder that was struggling to comply with the officer's orders, and had the misfortune to resemble a robbery suspect.

If it turns out you were right, I'll admit I was wrong to not immediately jump to your conclusions.

But, if it turns out you were wrong, are you going to admit to it? What would you do/say if Castile turns out to be an innocent CCW holder in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Or the same friggin' handgun he used to rob the convenience store.

Again, I don't know how you or anyone else can make that conclusion with the picture you have cited.

Perhaps you should read up on confirmation bias.

You need to read about confirmation bias more than I.

In every single one of these cases the media narrative has been proven false. Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, that little punk heroin dealer from Baltimore, etc etc. You need to stop watching CNN (obviously where you get your confirmation bias).

It's not clear that is true. No evidence yet that he had a permit. Other than statements by both the passenger and the victim's mother.

Let's see if that turns out to be true.

The big thug in Ferguson had his hands up in the air too.

I'M not "wrong" about anything.

I'm making no claims; I'm simply calling attention to reporting that the MSM isn't doing.

You seem to be basing a lot of your analysis on the statements of his girlfriend. IMO, that seems to be a rather flimsy hook on which to hang your hat.

We'll see.

I've openly said that it could be one or the other. I just don't understand your desire for a rush to judgement.

So far, I have seen very little that explains your version of events, other than a series of coincidences and a picture that could be anything.

I'm making no claims; I'm simply calling attention to reporting that the MSM isn't doing.

Has it occurred to you that the reason the MSM isn't reporting it is because they don't think it's the slam-dunk you think it is?

You seem to be basing a lot of your analysis on the statements of his girlfriend. IMO, that seems to be a rather flimsy hook on which to hang your hat.

Actually, what little analysis I have done is look at the victim's history with an unjaundiced eye.

How many 33-yr old gang members manage to avoid being arrested for ANY serious crime since they turned 18? And, how many gang members can pass a background check and work for a public school system for over a decade?

These are the kind of critical questions you should be asking before believing ANYONE's story.

But, I think we can agree on one thing: Castile wasn't shot because he was black. He was shot because the officer thought he was a robbery suspect.

I don't care what you are.

And, if you care what I am, that's your problem, not mine.

Only if it was within the camera angle.

I was actually referring to the officer's subsequent reaction, not the image on the video.

Do you mean to say that the officer would not allow her to
call an ambulance (just asking). She seems to have MOVED
enough to get on Social Media & star on that!

This whole deal is very, very puzzling.

I wonder whethe she filmed the entire stop or just after he died.

I would have been too scared to film a cop who was pointing a gun into the car.

What would be even more helpful would be if people were realistic about the internal threats to our society and to our country (soccer moms, and their right to vote, are the most destructive force known to man, in that they can bring the greatest country ever known to her knees). Body cams are a band-aid applied to stage 6 cancer.

Yeah, I trust them...not sure if a local crime issue like that would warrant time from Diane Sawyer, that’s all. IN any event probably not significant and not an official recorded statistic.

I looked over at policeone.com and didn’t see much there either

http://www.policeone.com/policeonesearch.asp?cx=007821250620234666838%3A1o8kidfsq-a&ie=UTF-8&cof=FORID%3A9&q=false+claim+CCW

It’s like the tactic of criminals paining the end of the barrel and slide orange to fool LEOs into thinking it’s a toy.

In that case, I remember one network did a segment on that.
