Although there are many reasons to oppose the normalization of homosexuality, this reason alone would be enough: it represents an enormous risk to human health.
According to a recent and extensive survey, homosexuals have "excess health problems" compared to sexually normal people. They suffer disproportionately from "impaired physical and mental health, heavy alcohol consumption, and heavy cigarette use."
The National Health Interview Survey, which has been conducted since 1957, included a question about sexual preference for the first time in 2013 and 2014. The results are astounding and alarming for anyone who cares about people who are trapped in a sexually abnormal lifestyle.
The survey included 69,000 participants - so it can’t be dismissed because of sample size - and it was published in JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) Internal Medicine, so it can’t be dismissed as the product of right wing homophobic bigots. The leader of the project is Gilbert Gonzales of the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
The survey found that a sexually non-normative lifestyle takes a particular toll on women and bisexuals. Lesbians are 91 percent more likely to report inferior health outcomes compared to heterosexual women, and bisexual women are 100 percent more likely to report chronic health conditions.
Those in alternative lifestyles were more likely than the sexually normal to report heavy drinking and smoking.
The politically-compromised researchers were quick to blame social bias and rejection for these devastating numbers but this is utterly implausible. Homosexuality is now the most-favored sexual preference on the planet, celebrated by lawmakers, Hollywood celebrities, and presidential candidates.
If there are any folks experiencing bigotry and social rejection, it would be Christian students, bakers, florists, photographers, or wedding planners. Yet they seem remarkably well-adjusted considering the constant abuse they take from every quarter.
Further evidence that these alarming health results in the “gay” population can’t be chalked up to bias and prejudice comes from the fact that similar surveys in Scandinavian countries consistently show similar results, despite the plain fact that sexually adventurous lifestyles have been celebrated there for decades.
The simple truth is that homosexual behavior is harmful to everyone who participates in it. It is harmful physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Those who care about homosexuals have a duty to warn them. If we care about homosexuals, we will tell them the truth about the dangers of homosexual behavior. Love can do no less.
Why is it the government feels entitled to regulate behavioral artifacts like seat belts, motorcycle helmets, sugary drinks, and tobacco on the grounds that their use has a direct public impact, but that same government not only leaves its hands off homosexuality, which, as we’ve seen, has a much more demonstrable impact. but actively PROMOTES such unhealthy behavior?
Look for the use of this phrase to become a hate crime in the near future.
There is no logical answer why this is, but the Christian in me sees it as the evil that the U.S. government has become is encouraging sin which eventually, without repentance, leads to spiritual death.

No matter what way you look at it, the end results are the same. High rates of: depression, suicide, mental illness, drug use, domestic violence, diseases and early death.
No one in their right mind would promote it, only those that are mentally unstable would.
Not necessarily. Recessive traits tend to remain in a population, since it takes two carriers of the trait to produce an offspring with the trait. So, if a trait is carried by 1% of the population, the chance that two of them will get together is 0.01x0.01=0.0001, or 0.01% (1 in ten thousand). Out of their children, one will be completely normal, two will be carriers, and one will have the trait. So that trait is not getting "weeded out."
Another factor in the persistence of homosexuality is the societal pressure to have children. In the past, this meant that homosexuals were pressured into marriage regardless of their orientation. These days, they don't get married, but use means of conception that do not require the physical act. The result is that the trait is preserved.
I'm speaking as if homosexuality is a recessive trait. The dynamics if it is dominant or impartially dominant would be slightly different. This is all hypothetical; the actual biological situation is probably way more complicated and nuanced.

Homosexuality as normal is a prime tenet of the religion of statism; deniers will be dealt with harshly.

Of course there’s no reconciling the inconsistency. In the absence of any higher moral authority, “right” becomes whatever the system in power says it is. Logic no longer enters into it.
