As PJ Media reported yesterday, Atatürk Airport in Istanbul was hit by several suicide bombers. Before they set off their bombs, they shot at innocent passengers with semi-automatic weapons. According to the latest reports, at least 36 and possibly as many as 50 people have died.
[TWEETS]
Although one news outlet reports that ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack, that report has not yet been confirmed. Even if ISIS doesn't claim responsibility, however, everything about this attack has 'ISIS' written all over it. First, it was yet another attack on an airport. Second, the terrorist combined an attack with semi-automatic rifles with suicide bombs and, third, once again innocent civilians were their target. Although the PKK and PKK-affiliated TAK also regularly carry out attacks in Turkey, they tend to target governmental targets such as soldiers and police officers. ISIS, on the other hand, always tries to kill as many innocent and unarmed civilians as possible.
Small wonder than that the Turkish government is holding ISIS responsible.
And that is pretty discomforting, especially for people like me: who live in Turkey. In the last couple of years, ISIS has used the border crisis with Syria to smuggle as many jihadists into Turkey as possible. Ever since, these Muslim extremists -- there may be thousands of them in Turkey -- have stood ready to carry out terror attacks. Some of them have, thankfully, been prevented, but the authorities can't possibly monitor every single ISIS-sympathizer in Turkey.

This will elate tonight’s partygoers at the weekly Wednesday night gala at the white hut about which Big Media USED to report.
I thought certain parts of the Turkish gov’t were supporting IS.
Loretta Lynch would suggest that the Turks be kinder, gentler, and more loving, and the ISIS problem will disappear.

A skirmish victory does not make out to be winning the war
They probably are! That’s how they were able to pull an attack like this off.
And committing an atrocity does not equate to winning (or even fighting) a battle.
If only Isis had JOBS in Turkey, eh..?
It’s a “Reichstag Fire” being orchestrated by Erdogan to consolidate his power.
Turkey supported a civil war in Syria which gave ISIS a safe haven there. They are getting what they deserve
Islam is Islam. Democracy is the train we ride to our ultimate victory.

And jobs, they need jobs!
Like the bolshevik co opting the Russian Revolution, ISIS co opted the Syrian revolution.
In a hissy fit Obama abandoned the coalition that included Turkey and Isis gained control
Notice how vigorously bammy condemns attacks in which muzlims are killed, but never condemns attacks by muzlims against normal people. Shows you where his true loyalty lies.

Russia's Sergey Lavrov is not one foreign minister known to mince his words. Just earlier today, 24 hours after a Russian plane was brought down by the country whose president three years ago said "a short-term border violation can never be a pretext for an attack", had this to say: "We have serious doubts this was an unintended incident and believe this is a planned provocation" by Turkey.
But even that was tame compared to what Lavrov said to his Turkish counterparty Mevlut Cavusoglu earlier today during a phone call between the two (Lavrov who was supposed to travel to Turkey has since canceled such plans).
As Sputnik transcribes, according to a press release from Russias Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lavrov pointed out that, "by shooting down a Russian plane on a counter-terrorist mission of the Russian Aerospace Force in Syria, and one that did not violate Turkeys airspace, the Turkish government has in effect sided with ISIS."
It was in this context when Lavrov added that "Turkeys actions appear premeditated, planned, and undertaken with a specific objective."
More importantly, Lavrov pointed to Turkeys role in the propping up the terror network through the oil trade. Per the Russian statement:
"The Russian Minister reminded his counterpart about Turkeys involvement in the ISIS illegal trade in oil, which is transported via the area where the Russian plane was shot down, and about the terrorist infrastructure, arms and munitions depots and control centers that are also located there."
Others reaffirmed Lavrov's stance, such as retired French General Dominique Trinquand, who said that "Turkey is either not fighting ISIL at all or very little, and does not interfere with different types of smuggling that takes place on its border, be it oil, phosphate, cotton or people," he said.
The reason we find this line of questioning fascinating is that just last week in the aftermath of the French terror attack but long before the Turkish downing of the Russian jet, we wrote about "The Most Important Question About ISIS That Nobody Is Asking" in which we asked who is the one "breaching every known law of funding terrorism when buying ISIS crude, almost certainly with the tacit approval by various "western alliance" governments, and why is it that these governments have allowed said middleman to continue funding ISIS for as long as it has?"
Precisely one week later, in even more tragic circumstances, suddenly everyone is asking this question.
That is so judgmental. Even if ISIS does claim responsibility, this was clearly the handiwork of Christian conservatives with ties to Donald Trump. Round 'em up! (Oh, and apologize to ISIS while you're at it.)
It doesn’t make sense for ISIS to attack Turkey, the biggest customer for their oil. Not to mention all their supplies come from Turkey. Something doesn’t smell right about this.
