If you're like me, your knowledge of the European political scene is sadly weak. You know you should broaden your understanding, but who has the time?
Well, now there's a fabulous documentary on YouTube that makes getting up to speed on the EU and European econo/political scene fun and efficient.

Its name is Brexit, the Movie. And watching only 20 to 30 minutes of this feature-length film, I came away with keen insights on: 1) Why the British were desperate to exit the EU; 2) How the EU bureaucracy grew its cartel over the decades; and 3) The modus operandi the globalists used in Europe and could very well try to push on America through TPP and other nation-killing ploys. Some quick facts and opinions on Brexit, the Movie:

Brexit: The Movie is written and directed by filmmaker Martin Durkin. Durkin's Wag TV produces TV shows worldwide for discovery, National Geographic, TLC, Science Channel, Channel Four and Five in Britain.
Of the various prizes he's won for his films, he is most proud of the Free Enterprise Award, given him by the Institute of Economic Affairs.

Many thanks to FReeper Attention Surplus Disorder who turned me onto this film.
Brexit:The Movie bump for later viewing.
Me too.
Thank you. I watched it all. The US is in much the same situation.
Like the Brexit vote, Article V is about sovereignty.
You have to have government representatives that can NEGOTIATE free trade deals that are open and fair - of benefit to our people and nation. BREXIT will fail if the British leaders don’t ditch the EU globalist mindset.
We have free trade, but our trade reps make sure we lose the benefits in crony capitalism, bad trade deals and open immigration/invasion. We have a bunch of treasonous, guilt ridden globalists in power who could care less about America and Americans. Unlike the Swiss...
Wow! That gives me goosebumps!
We can say the Roman Coliseum is parallel to the EU parliament building: both symbolize tyranny over the European world. Rome was the terror of the Ancient world. They forced the conquered peoples of many lands to fight each other to the death. Christians and others were fed to lions and other beasts (Damnatio ad bestias) in the Coliseum. |
Jean-Léon Gérôme - The Christian Martyrs' Last Prayer
Agreed, Albion. And the origins of the Tower of Babel in scripture should also give pause. The Tower of Babel was a myth -- in the Hebrew Bible's Book of Genesis -- meant to explain the origin of different languages. According to the story:
The EU's Parliament has zero authority. It's the EU's unelected bureaucrats and masterminds who call all the shots. And those fat-cat elites are no doubt amused as they gaze down into that glass-and-steel echo chamber where the national delegates speak many tongues, but babble for no purpose. |
But hope is not lost! Read the words of R. W. Emerson:
With such an ignorant and deceivable majority, States would soon run to ruin, were it not for limitations, beyond which the folly and ambition of governors cannot go. Things have their laws, as well as men; and things refuse to be trifled with.
Property will be protected. Corn will not grow, unless it is planted and manured; but the farmer will not plant or hoe it, unless the chances are a hundred to one, that he will cut and harvest it.
Look at the attributes of a person -- his wit and his moral energy. They will exercise their proper force regardless of any law or extinguishing tyranny. If not overtly, then covertly. If not for the law, then against it -- with right or by might.
But then ... cycle of life ... Things are born, they grow, they bloom, they retreat. Highly unlikely the US will be the US (the good US we know and love and admire and respect) in 4000 years ... but she's not ready to go the way of all great things ... yet.

Britain sold our fish quotas for a quick buck
But it turns out that foreign firms already own a big slice of British fishing rights and will continue to do so permanently. Why? Because British companies sold their quotas. Spanish firms own 88 per cent of Welsh fishing rights and most of the quota from the Bristol Channel to the Scottish border.
...The fishing industry has largely gone the way of so much of British business, manufacturing and utilities that have been sold off to Chinese, American and other foreign investors with the approval of successive governments.
Thanks for this intel. This is what happens when you lose confidence in your own industries.
Investing in your own country and people is a sacred duty that President Trump realizes.
Correct. Trump’s policies are revitalising the American economy
