The MSM still had influence when Warren was first elected, plus Massachusetts is frankly too liberal to care about ‘progressive’ lies. If the Dems are reckless enough to run Warren in the GE, social media will eat her alive. Also remember, everyone on social media has friends and family, and many have coworkers. The word will get out, and a significant number of voters will certainly care.

"Notice that all those who claim Native American roots alway choose the Cherokee, Iroquois or other more “peaceful” tribes. No one wants to have the murderous Mescalero Apache or the cannibal Karankawa tribal roots

The Iroquois were anything but peaceful.

Very simple. Does she have a CDIB(Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood) and a Tribal Membership Card for any of the recognized Cherokee Nations? She can’t have the Tribal Membership Card without the CDIB.

If she does not have at least the CDIB she is a wannabe and not recognized.

The CDIB is a little blue card. I have one.

If they aren’t on the Dawes Roll they aren’t. That was the cut off.

You can claim anything you want but without being traced to the Dawes Roll you are not part of the Five Civilized Tribes. You may want to be but you aren’t so far as the BIA is concerned or the Tribes.

On the other hand, I’m feeling really black today so I can’t be a racist. Tomorrow I may feel brown or Asian just whatever suits the need at the moment.

I was born a poor black child so I wants me some reparations. Etc.

What a bunch of hooey.

She is a democrat.

Finding out if she is actually Cherokee is fairly easy, she has a direct ancestor on the tribal rolls.

If she does not then she, legally, is not.

Oh sorry, I could see it so clearly happening in my mind. They were making fun of “fake Indian” Warren. I had explained the whole situation and we all ending up ridiculing her for lying about it. One look at my kin on that side and you know their heritage. They know who she is now and what she’s done.

Thanks, Nikos, for posting. I hadn’t actually read the background, and, quite ignorantly, until now I thought that she had discovered through genealogy some Native American ancestor hundreds of years ago, which ALSO does not make one Cherokee 10 generations later. I didn’t realize she has not even a hint of a Cherokee ancestor. Ha.

Genealogy is fascinating. I just started doing it this spring for my mom, and things families tell about their offspring are so wrong! One grandparent was told they were 100% Irish... And there is no one from Ireland anywhere in their past.

A lot of people can claim Indian ancestry. But check the article, not ms warren.

So, how does she get away with this? And why is Trump getting dumped on, when the entire republican party should demand Warren be called out.

If your ancestor wasn’t on a roll you have zero chance of becoming a member of a tribe.

My grandmother was half (both her parents were half), however neither of her parents or close relatives were ‘registered’ (because they lived in MS and didn’t want to get drop shipped to OK Indian territory in the 1890’s). So, in spite of my being 1/8 by DNA with a mother who has never sunburned in her entire life in spite of being raised in the south, I have zero chance of ever becoming a member of a tribe.

Lots of DNA testing by relatives doing family tree stuff has proven this btw. The tribe in question actually laughed when one relative inquired about membership. In spite of DNA testing that indicated she was 25% NA, and which tribe and which likely clan.

Before genealogy became comparatively easy, a lot of people held mistaken beliefs about their ancestry. My paternal line was believed to be German, they were Lutheran in the south after all. Turned out only the wives were, in the colonial era. The surname is English.

Thanks for the info—not to mention a good laugh. Don’t hold your breath for those reparations—the Left knows how to play this game, and conservatives always get stuck holding the bag. ;)

‘So maybe she needs a new nickname to fit with her false Indian genealogy - Indian Killer.’

Works for me!

Notice that all those who claim Native American roots alway choose the Cherokee, Iroquois or other more “peaceful” tribes.

The tribes that were more prone to coexist and assimilate, rather than being at war, were more prone to having children with European settlers. Seems logical to me.
